Check out these photo's. They were emailed to me with this caption at the bottom of the email. I'm unsure as to this pictures validity, but it seems possible. Not sure if real or not. I just thought I'd pass it on to fellow moto riders, this could be filed under Crash Analysis, General, Moto Photo's, or other...I think one pic should go into the single sided swingarm picture thread(it might be a rc35, but that rear tail appears to be a duc as does the wheel).........Caption Pasted below:

The Honda crotch rocket rider was traveling at approximately
85 mph. The VW driver was talking on a cell phone when she
pulled out from a side street, apparently not seeing the
motorcycle. The riders reaction time was not sufficient
enough to avoid this accident. The car had two passengers
and the bike rider was found INSIDE the car with them. The Volkswagen actually flipped over from the force of impact
and landed 20 feet from where the collision took place.
All three involved (two in the car and the bike rider) were
killed instantly. This graphic demonstration was placed at
the Motorcycle Fair by the Police and Road Safety
Department.

Pass this on to car drivers or soon to be
new drivers, or new motorcycle owners AND ESPECIALLY EVERYONE YOU KNOW WHO HAS A CELL PHONE!!!!!

A picture is worth a thousand words.

Wake up people , Stop talking on Cell phones and
Texting while trying to drive. Put your Cell phone
in the back seat !!!

"The graphic display (below) was placed at the Stockholm Motorcycle Fair by the Swedish Police and Road Safety Department. The sign above the display noted that the rider had only recently obtained his license."

"The Honda rider was traveling at such a "very high speed", his reaction time was not sufficient enough to avoid this accident. Swedish Police estimate a speed of ~250 KM/h (155mph) before the bike hit the side of the slow moving car at an intersection. At that speed, they predicted that the rider's reaction time (once the Volkswagen came into view) wasn't sufficient enough for him to even apply the brakes."

Maybe the rider would still be alive if he wasn't doing 85 mph.

from the way the bike was lodged in there. i bet the rider would have been flying pretty far and not be wedged inside of the car.

Yep, really old repost (10+ years?) I seem to recall 2 people were killed instantly, the rider & the car passenger. The driver died later; for a total of 3 killed....sad :(

Ahhhh, I do remember seeing this....

It was a morning where the ice melt was particularly bad, and I was out walking my pet dinosaur.

I wonder if it still runs????

So, basically, when I'm in my car, under no circumstances should I talk on the cell phone - however, on my motorcycle, it's perfectly acceptable for me to missile through a residential road at 85mph? Good advice.
