Apparently, some fans know what Marc was thinking and that he wanted to push Luthi into the weeds. Hope they don't watch some of our favorite AMA guys, or they will be calling premeditated murder. :laughing

Sometimes, guys do bad stuff. Sometimes, guys do stupid stuff. A lot of the time it's hard to tell the difference. Even race control had a hard time with this one, apparently.

apparently, all that extra power is only useful at top-end of 4th-6th.

everyone's drive out of the corners is managed by the wheelie-control, which it does by reducing power. so, since theres no way that the factories could magically find a way to drive harder without lofting the front wheel (aside from the standard annual performance boost from development), the control is probably still allowing about the same amount of HP out of the corners as last year. ya, the power affects tire wear... maybe they are getting less edge wear and more on the fat part of the tire... but i cant see it being a main reason for an increase in wear.

Btw last year the yam had issues controlling wheelies, with the added power you think it would be worst. They have figured out a way to control the wheelies better and put more power to the ground with the bigger bike.

sry, i should have been more specific. i was talking idealistically, maximum possible HP rly on any given drive. i agree that Yamaha has found a better way to put more power to the ground, that may or may not be detrimental to tires.

Umm yeah, mid-season trade is a regular occurrence in football, basketball, baseball, etc., but is it in GP Racing? You know what's it called when this thing happens in MotoGP? Quitting, giving up, being soft exactly the type of person you mentioned. "Oh it's too hard to ride this bike, I can't do it so I'm going to give up." This switching team thing is an easy way out for someone who gave up up and wants to take the easy way out.

week one: win races. to do so, you need a bike for which you are capable of winning races on. you have different avenues from which to do so, whether developong one, riding a previously developed one, or riding your ass off in the rain. option one requires the most time and effort. option two seems to generally be the best avenues, as option three seems to be the most dangerous. the risk/reward ration seems to favor option two. called the casey stoner model, riding one developed by another, seems to do quite well.(see studies of 2007, 2011)

week two: fuck butches. the best way to fuck bitches is to be at the front of the grid where the hot umbrella girls are(see study done by one N. BTW, for you to use Stoner as pissed for getting third, that is not really accurate. I understand the point you're making, but your examPle is wrong. If you watch his interview with Azi Farni in the parc ferme right after he got off the bike, he was smiling. Sure he was disappointed with the result, but he was still smiling and happy given that he was still able to pull away and made a gap despite suffering from arm pump. He was happy because he knew the bike worked well, he could deal with the slight chatter towards the end and if it wasn't for the arm pump, he could have won the race.
