My bt023 I had on the rear of my rc51 lasted about 5k miles till it flat spotted. The bt023 front i had felt so numb i couldnt tell waht my fri t end was doing half the time. Im running a pilot road 33 on my zx10. The grip is amazing. I road it on some wet roads after last rains we had and the wet grip blew me away. I've heard people on a concorus 14 getting 7-8kthe miles out of a rear. Im at about 1500the and the rear still looks brand new.

I barely got 5k out of my Avon Storms and they gripped like shit. Worst of both worlds.

I got 12-15k. Grip was fine for me year 'round. I can't account for the discrepancy, but don't think I was blessed.

It doesn't matter what tires I put on, I get 3000 out of a rear, and 5000 out of a front. Dunlop, Bridgestone, Michelin, Pirelli, same, same.

How the hell does anyone get so many miles out of a 100++ hp bike? I could never get more than 4k out of a rear on a sport bike and often it was no more than 2k.

As for car tires... don't do it, yo. I don't give a damn what anyone says, I've SEEN what they do on a twisty road, and it is fucking frightening.

I second that. I put a new Pilot Road (original) on the Bandit before the Alaska trip in 2010. That was 20k ago, it's finally about done.
