1979 Toyota Pickup

This is strictly a feeler ad. I have a 1979 Toyota Pickup with 20R motor and 5-speed. It is rear wheel drive and I want to say it's a base model with a 5-speed transmission from the SR5 model installed. Starts up every time no problem, all lights work except for the dash lights for fuel/temp.

-120,0xx miles. Previous 2nd owner had it when it looped over 100k.
-Clean Title with up to date 2013 registration
-Very little rust. Only a little bit on the tailgate when the previous owner left it open and let it sit in his yard. They're on the bottom right and left corners.
-Just reupholstered the bench seat.
-Original paint and all black interior minus the actual bench.
-In the past 500 miles, I have changed the oil and filter, flushed coolant, replaced thermostat, replaced sparkplugs, replaced distributor.
-Not the prettiest truck but definitely turns heads. Has 2 or so minor dents.

I don't know if it'll pass smog as the exhaust has a leak currently but I am getting it fixed soon. Previous owner had no problems with smog but I noticed the muffler had a crack in it. Other than that, the motor is strong and runs very smoothly. I get pretty decent gas mileage around 22-24mpg when I drive but my girlfriend has a heavier foot on the freeway.

I am looking for $3,000. Strictly a feeler ad

Per law, if you sell a vehicle, you'll need to have it pass smog.

With that being said.... GLWS.

Where is the truck located?

And yes, I will be getting the smog done soon but I thought I would be upfront about it.

Rel,
Is this an "official" interpretation? I've read the DMV website and think it's a bit vague but reading the CVC it's not clear to me that a PASSING smog check is required.

Yep, that's it.

People find out at the DMV window that the vehicle needs to be smogged. Then the new buyer finds out that the vehicle requires a great deal of engine work. (THIS IS NOT THE CASE FOR THIS SALE.....)
