Since 1973-4. First front wheel asunder from wet limit line, same year. Left turner assistance onto pavement, same year. Drunk making a left over a double yellow, same year. Helmet saved my life first two crashes. Sliding off the car onto hot pipes that peeled skin like a banana was ugly.

Upright since then.

Bought my first bike in 1963. Been riding pretty much ever since. Don't plan to quit anytime soon.

Since summer 2004. I don't put on the miles like I used to but is still enjoy it a lot. I'll give it up when I don't enjoy it anymore or when I physically can't do it. I started on the street and as of yet have not ridden dirt. Had I started younger I think I would have gravitated to the dirt.

Long time

Friend asked if I wanted to ride his Kawasaki 500 Triple, and me without a clue, said sure Rode it gently to the beach where a girl asked for a ride She said "that was the best MC ride she'd ever had" (I was scared shitless). Of course that sealed the deal Bought 1972 Yamaha R5C 350 in 1974. I tossed it countless times, but somehow survived.

40 years latter and 500K plus miles and a strange girl has never asked for a ride
