Hey Brad!

Solo ride, huh? Any more details of your ride (to/from and mileage)?

And speaking of mileage, what is it with your tank capacity?

Any how, Looking forward to doing another 9 ride(s) this year.

ps, I too did a solo ride yesterday I did another jaunt thru Calaveras and meet my wife (w/ kids) at her brothers (and family) house in fremont, which is a mile east on Mission Blvd from Niles Canyon/84.

Secn8ure and I literly decided a last minute meet to ride to the La Ducati Day. Mark on his Repsol 400rr, and I on the NSR We rode approx 80 miles through 84, 35 and a small portion of hwy 9 and the return back.

pic courteous of Rambeezi (thread: La Ducati Day Pics)

Mark recorded some footage of the 84, 35, and hwy 9 and back

I gotta give SpeedyCorky (Charlie) major props for any long distance riding he does upon his NSR Even for me being 5' 2" tall, it was a tough ride upon the cramped and aggressive riding position of the NSR. I now truly realize how good I had it with the YSR. Not only from a better riders position, but having a 20 + hp motor
With the NSR stock gearing (14/44) and red-lining the lil NSR 50 motor at 13k rpms, I reached 60 mph A 63cc kit is definately in order for any future long distance rides using the NSR Meanwhile, I think I'll use the NSR for short rides around town, posing and or occasionally riding up Calaveras to keep the tire edges rounded

Again, Mark, Thanks for everything!....the two way radio's recording the ride, sharing with me some of the Repsol lubricants that you won in the raffle at the La Ducati meet, and most of all, your company

hey Daren, lemmie know when/where (from who) you are getting your 63cc kit. i want one too and maybe we could order together and save some $ ??

my top end is for sure a bit less powerful than it was when i bought it from you over a year back. if i'm gonna rebuild the thing, i'm gonna get some CC's out of it !!!

First Mini Group Ride of 2009, a trip up to The Wall.

The original thread.....
http://www.bayarearidersforum.com/fo...d.php?t=278925

The Route:
Start in Fremont @ Niles /84 and Mission Blvd --> Palomeras Rd --> Castro Valley Rd -->Redwood Rd --> Skyline --> Grizzly Peak --> final stop at The Wall. Then the reverse ride.

Fortunatey we had been blessed with Spring like weather within early Jan....not that I am complaining So a few of us Mini folk gathered together to take advantage of this awesome weather.

Here are some teaser pix of those whom attended......

At the meet spot in Fremont; Joe (left) and Brad (right)...Brads lil' Ape and Greg's lil ZB50.

Evan (left) & Marc (Secn8ure) on the right

Greg (left) & Neal (right)
bikes: Secn8ure's 05 CBR, Evans RS50, Neals RS70 and Joe's KSR 80

A stop a Peets Cofee before making our way up Redwood....

and a few snaps from Brad's camera while at The Wall over looking the Bay Area

and of coarse, some vid action

Mini ride from 1/18/09, ending at Alice's. Here's the original thread: Sunday 18th Group Ride Anyone?
Early in the morning, I had breakfast at the Mini Gourmet.

From there, rode through Portola Valley and Woodside to meet up with Brad and Greg at the corner of 92/35.

We went to wait for Joe at the top of Tunitas Creek.

Greg's badass ZB

We went down to Pescadero, and took a little break there.
Joe's KSR80

From there, we went back up to Alice's for lunch.

There was also video footage taken from onboard Greg and Brad's bikes:
Greg's onboard:

Last part of Brad's - Pescadero/84 up to Alice's.

Awesome! Thanks for posting and sharing the ride pix.

If I may ask, please edit your post and include the link to the original thread. Also, would be cool to add the video links as well.

Looking forward to the next ride......Mt Hammi?

Thanks Neal fwiw, the original thread will eventually get lost in the shuffle of others. Having the 'key' pix and footage here will inspire those whom are lurking and or wish to join us on rides.

Any Regard, I am really impressed with Joe's KSR. That thing seems to stick like glue considering the type of tires he's got on there.

Not sure Joe will ever post up much about the bike but ive been on the phone and email with him a lot lately and hes got something crazy in the works for a all out mini. He picked up another KSR 80 and has a 100cc bore kit on order. We have been discussing some other possible upgrades for brakes and suspension. Knowing how quick he is on the 80 im betting i wont have a chance at keeping up when hes on a 100cc Two stoke KSR with proper suspension and brakes.
