gnarly canyon Colton Haaker and friends

This is the best gnarly trail riding video I've ever seen. For the short attention spans among you, fast forward to 3:30

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gtm7R02cL0Q

youtu.be/Gtm7R02cL0Q

This is exactly my kind of trouble to get into. Until it gets way beyond my skill level. But I would go down that canyon like nobody's business.

P.S. Can we get a BARF botanist to identify that plant at 7:42?

I'm exhausted from just watching that video. That would be one big walk of shame for me.

Wow that like some triple infinity black diamond stuff. Too gnarly for me. Surprised that played on my computer at 1080 60fps. They were just launching those bikes.

Eric, I'd join you going down the canyon. I think we would be doing more walking and dragging bikes up the canyon than riding. Where is that walk of shame gif?

That looks super fun. I can only hope to ride anything like that one day. What kind of bikes were they on?

They were on those peaky, hard-to-ride 2 strokes that are totally unsuited for trail riding, Husqvarna 250 and/or 300. Also notice knobby rears, no trials tires, no hybrid tires. No autoclutches. Just badassness.

That last splat they do, when the bike ends up vertical on its rear wheel, the splat face is as tall as the bike. That's as tall as a truck bed is long.

I noticed that too. Up until then you could dream about doing the canyon. Then that happens and you realize how they are on a whole other level.

Nah I would have been done at that narrow ledge where the guy fell. And based on the perspective, a lot of those other splats/faces, etc. were probably larger/taller than they appeared. But yeah, throughout the vid I was saying, "Cool, I could do that! I could do that rock garden but I wouldn't like it. I could maybe do that. OK that might take a few tries. Oh that would be tough. No, fuck that."

That looks like a blast. We ride some stuff like that, but these are on another level. Super awesome. Gotta love the 300's. Best bike ever made in opinion.

I think this is one of those guys in the same area. Things get gnarly around 7:30 and full on Nope around 8:30.

youtu.be/eaSkm82VjeQ

Reminds me of the guy sinking his YZ250 in the water. If I was to try it my rear tire would slide into the gap and I'd be done.

In both those videos they leave from Kyle Redmond's house. According to his Beta Factory Racing bio, he lives in Lake Hughes, Ca. So it's probably somewhere in these hills: https://www.google.com/maps/@34.6165.../data=!5m1!1e4
