Lame donkey move. It's been going on for 5-10 years. It was..actually--camcoders shortly before that!! Small ones!!

Technically, "the phones I don't mind"..it's the person or the couple standing up right in front with two shiny screens that I do mind !!

Years ago, I was on BART coming home from some concert at, I think, The Fillmore.

Some twerp had one of those micro-cassette voice recorders and was going around bragging about how he recorded the concert and all this shit.

It kinda sounded like...

PRSHHHSHHKEEWWWHOOOOKESHHHHHHHHKCHCHCHHKWEEEOOOWWKSHHHHHHHHPSHHHHH

PSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I'm guilty of cell phone offenses like many are.

I like to think my refusal to get a new phone helps keep me from doing too much. My phone will die in about 15 minutes of normal use unless it gets to a charger.

Means I'm not trying to take a picture of every meal I eat, a million selfies per day, or recording half a concert. Or taking video of every random daily life event that happens. Apps on my phone take 30+ seconds to boot up. Any spur of the moment that you might want to whip your phone out to record, by the time I can even do that, the moment's passed. So I just watch and live in it like you should.

I do like to snap a picture of video here and there but more of the venue at a concert. Most concerts I go to, I've seen the artists before but I like to go to new venues I've never been to before.

1) yeah it's annoying but I try to pay no attention to all the phones. It's a "thing" now and I doubt it'll be going away any time soon.

2) for all y'all too lazy or embarrassed to dance: GTF Up and shake it! Have fun! It's a party! You paid for those tix! Don't worry about what others think about you; you do your thang! I love dancing at concerts. And yes, I dance horribly.

If I pay for a seat, I wanna sit. If I pay for GA, I stand.

And by dance, I assume people actually mean headbang.

Yes, that is wrong. Headbanging is the only kind of dancing allowed at a concert. If your concert has that kind of dancing, your concert sucks.

Oh? Phones in Movie theaters? I am not a small character. Usually if someone is doing phone shit in a theater, I come up behind them and sit in the seat, grip with both hands and start saying creepy shit in some of my best, "Bad Touch in the Dark," voice:

"What do we have going on back here? Pretty good? What are you looking at? You got cute pictures? You like this movie, I like it. You smell good, smell like nice. You guys live near here?" It helps if you are like sniffing the air periodically while you do it.

Sometimes they straight leave the movie. They will sometime sthreaten to call the manager, but non one ever comes as a result. Sometimes they put their shit away and squish down uncomfortably in the seat. If they do that I will sit back for a minute and wait. If they continue to behave I will whisper, "boring," and go back to my original seat. The hardest part about it is usually the laughing from the people I am with when doing it.

One time, this kid told me to, "fuck off," so I just slapped the phone out of his hands and went back to my seat. He stormed off to, "Tell the cops," and I never saw him again.

Do not trifle with my cinematic experience. This is a society, there are rules.
