Boy was I surprised when I saw you at Alice's at the very next 1Rider event .

Kevin, I'm glad you reached out to Tim and were very open to his advice. You turned out well

1Rider ftw.

That Enchanter sure sounds like a swell guy but I still wouldn't listen to him when he starts talking about use of the rear brake...

to Tim! He went above and beyond to point a young guy in the right direction.

Before I moved here to California from Florida by way of AZ, BARF folks helped me get a job teaching the MSF... Anyone remember that? Helped me out tremendously..

Pretty cool.. Two thumbs up for BARF and it's 'clutch' of Barfers..

If I could get over my insane fear of group rides.. I'd go out with y'all more..

So you started out a total squid on way too much bike for you without a license, got convinced to get a license and gear, crashed the bike that was still way too fast for you due to a complete rookie mistake... and decided to get an even faster bike?

Wouldn't you? I did.

Moral of the story: pay attention to Tim... the Enchanter, because he knows what the hell he's talking about.

I hafta say I loved this story, I loved the photos and I loved the sentiment that one person with the right attitude and the willingness to follow up can make a difference in someones life.
I am glad that you met the people you did and did not end up wrecking and never riding again or worse stunting yourself to death.
I shared your story with some of the peeps at Two Wheel Females, because this is just the kinda story that us chicks love.
You sound like you have a good head on your shoulders, I hope you have a long and wonderful riding life. Thanks for sharing.
