2018 SUPERMOTO USA Racing - BARF

In addition to several other tracks and cool venues, SUPERMOTO USA will be returning to the prairie City kart track near Sacramento for a handful of rounds of the soon to be released Championship Series schedule.

here are some tentative dates...

FEB 23-25 PRE SEASON OPEN PRATICE / SCHOOL
MARCH 17-18 PRACTICE / RACE
APRIL 7-8 PRACTICE/RACE
JUNE TBA
AUG. STURGIS BUFFALO CHIP
SEPT 8-9 PRACTICE / RACE
OCTOBER 7

That alone might draw me to Sturgis. The Flat Track had me thinking about it... this doubles down.

Is Prairie City the only reasonably local track?

Do I need a green sticker or anything?

What're the licensing requirements?

Rangers do check bikes every now and again so I would recommend the paperwork checks out/is current. That being said, it can be a red sticker since it is on a closed course.

If I manage to reschedule I'll have to find where I put my sticker - I know I have it somewhere.

Sticker on upper left front fork tube. Eye height for the ranger when you pass the check-in station. Just tell the ranger you are heading to the kart track and they glance at the bike and wave you through. Your practice fee collected by the track day organizer or race series includes the fee for park use.

would I be able to bring a racebike that did not have a green or red sticker (MSO only?). I know I couldn't run it in the park, but would I get past the gate to go to just the track?

As long as the VIN is clean, you "should" be fine.

I'm going to try to get the fabled motorcycle transport permit (DMV form 712), if I have that then there should be no problem at all, right? Who knows if I'll actually be able to get that permit; I sure as s**t gonna try.

Just trying to figure it all out; I've never had a bike with only an MSO before. Thanks!

Unfortunately, due to some scheduling and state park regulations, SMUSA (at this point in time) will not be hosting races, schools or open practice at PC. If things change, we will certainly make a post here.

We remain optimistic and will absolutely be hosting some other, rather cool SM stuff.
