Changing up the photos as a tribute to the last WSBK race for the V-Twin Ducati platform in WSBK.* Truly the end of an era. Could go on forever about what Ducati has done for WSBK and WSBK has done for Ducati. So many great memories.

World Supersport final should be cutthroat as Cortese has 189 points to 183 for Cluzel and there is bad blood from Cortese cleaning out Cluzel in Portugal.

*no disrespect to Hodgson or Checa, just showing a bike from each era.

Lucas Mahias had his victory from the dramatic finish in Portugal reinstated. That gives him 25 more points and takes one away from Cortese making the gap between Cortese and Cluzel now just five points.

Laverty and Lowes leave nearly level laps under the Losail lights.

Eugene Laverty was quickest in FP1 and FP3, while Alex Lowes was fastest in FP2. Rea crashed, uninjured, a few minutes into FP1 and was not able to continue due to damage to the bike.

Gagne is faster than Camier by a whisker but both Hondas are off the pace.

Triple M Honda chose not to attend the Qatar round. New rider Florian Marino suffered a badly broken leg in Argentina though the team didn't announce they would not participate until yesterday. I'm thinking PJ dodged a bullet with these guys.

I keep forgetting that Qatar WSBK is Thu-Sat

Race 1 already went down.

Stayed home with a sick kiddo and happened to catch it on BeIn this morning. Really glad I didn't pay for the pass this year. Snooze fest race.

Pretty damn exciting WSS season finale. WSBK Race 2 cancelled due to standing water and challenging track conditions.
