Hey! I was looking for people to go ride with (road bicycles).
I m in the South Bay but can drive to other spots..

Keep me posted. 75 miles + hills might be a little much for me right now.

Yes, Hot Frog and I are looking for fellow roadies. Anyone riding this weekend? What is the average length of your rides?

And post some pics of your human powered 2 wheeled machines dammit.

*I also have a Selle Italia Prolink Light Gelflow saddle and Aquafina/fi'zi:k bib (size small) if anyone's interested. I'll post them later.

I'm in the Berkeley Hills about twice a week on weekdays, grinding out different parts of the Berkeley Hills Death Ride:

http://www.inl.org/bicycle/deathride.html

It's about a 12 mile ride that includes Spruce, Grizzly, the top 1/3 of Marin, and South Park. Once I start getting up a little earlier, I'd like to add a descent into Berkeley down Shasta and a climb up Centennial.

Now that the trails are dry, most of my free weekends are spent on the mountain bike. I'll post up when a roadbike ride comes together though!

When I do make it out on the roadbike, I generally do about 50 miles at a 15-17 mile per hour average pace with hills. Most of what I do is in the region of "The Three Bears", Pinehurst, and Redwood Road in the East Bay Hills.

Do you guys have an interest in longer organized rides? There's a Napa Century coming up that I might be doing.

Oh yeah - here's mine:

Love the color zx6roxy, reminds me of Hendrix for some reason.

Love the Giant OCR's too, i've always had a thing for those, they just look sweet.

I'd love to do a century, but i'm still working on my conditioning and getting my lungs back up to capacity. If it's a ways down the road (no pun intended) i'm game.

Dude you got yours in Euskaltel team colors, i'm jealous.

While were on the subject of mods, here's mine:

- Fi'zi:k Arione (finally a saddle that fits)
- Cinelli bars
- Full Campy Chorus(except for FSA cranks & bb)
- Mavic Classics SSC ceramic rims
- blah, blah, blah
It doesn't make me any faster, but I think it therefore I am dammit.
I use SPD's vs. Looks because I like being able to walk around in my shoes. I've had the same pair of shoes for 13 years!

What tires are you guys running anyhow? I was on Conti 3000's which were a bit soft, i've switched to Specialized all-condition armadillos. I actually like the harshness and don't have to worry so much about flats. Wire bead even, so much cheaper.

I generally ride a few times a week in the Portola Valley/Woodside/Sky Londa area. During the week I ride after work starting at around 6pm and do a 22mile loop (door to door) thru Portola Valley. On weekends I usually go up into the hills for a longer ride and to get some climbing in. I usually average 15.5-18.5mph depending on how much climbing is involved. I also like doing Mt. Hamilton every now and then, but this time of year it sucks because of all the insects. If anyone wants to do a road ride in the peninsula area let me know.

Thanks! I wish the wheels were carbon, but they're just alloy. Still pretty light though.

I just put on Michelin Pro2 Race tires today. I'll let you know how they go.

My schedule's pretty tight for the next couple of weekends, but someone post a date/time/location and we'll go from there. Heck, when I get my weekends back, I'll post something up.
I was thinking maybe meet at Edwater Rd & Canada off 280 and doing a loop thru Woodside, Portola Valley, Los Altos - 23-30+ miles.

So are all the bikes with an inclined frame now? The top one on my bike is still horizontal. All of yours have a slight angle.. Is that the new trend?

Anyone tried the triathlete steering?.. What are the main differences in riding position and effort?
Noticed you listed "tri saddle" what s the difference there too?
