Here's a smattering of more random photography that I do. I tend to shoot a lot of macro and research photography, given I'm a PhD student at UCD. California Killifish prior to getting it's brain parasite load measured  I study animal behavior up here at UCD and work with black widows (as well as field crickets)  I was just out at U Pitt for a month doing research and played with hissing cockroaches a bit. Note all the mites on the face  Did a shoot for one of the huge bio classes. They're going to get 20-30 30" prints of different organisms from the class and put them in the hallways. Here's a few of them   Took this on a hike out by Beryessa  Sundew... a carnivorous plant  Random shot from around the UCD campus  My roommate's dog, Miso. She's the greatest dog ever, hands down.
