Crock Pot FTW!

Post up your recopies, the fewer "ingredients" the better.

My fav: Puor 1 jar of Trader Joe's salsa and a pack of Taco seasoning into Crock Pot, add package of deboned organic breasts of chicken, cook on low. Done.

How to turn that recipe up to Eleven:

Use the habanero-lime salsa and chicken thighs.

better if you can pan sear on super high heat the chicken first but it's not imperative.

since you're already headed down the path, I much prefer the recipes here...
epicurious slow cooker recipes

(they tend to be a bit more involved though)

holy smokes that's a lot of smokes typically see it being used at 1tsp:5# meat

I throw some banana/peels in mine since Kalua is typically wrapped in banana leaves and then smoked.

I made this the other night in a dutch oven. I completely fail at crock pot cooking. Anything I am slow-cooking usually starts off seared and usually with some sort of reduction. I figure why dirty up another dish? The times I have omitted these steps, my food has turned out bland. My crock pot is only used for taking stuff to pot lucks and keeping cheese dip warm. I need to take lessons from y'all.

good to know I'm not the only one who believes in one pot/pan cooking ( grill doesn't count )
