Pulled Pork

Pork Shoulder
1 can Dr. Pepper
Sweet baby rays bbq sauce
onions
garlic
worcestershire

Cook for 8-12 hours, then pull apart with forks. The sugar in the Dr Pepper makes the meat nice and tender.

I spose we should go official and have a BARF Crock-Pot Cook Book (subtitled "because we'd rather be out riding than cooking") and sell it to benefit whomever. I am really interested in some of these recipes.

2lbs of steak, cubed
1 can of Guinness
1 can of Garbanzo beans
1 Jug of gravy, or bouillon
1 large onion
3 - 4 cloves of garlic
3 carrots, or a handful of peeled baby carrots
1/2 head of celery
1/2 a red bell pepper
1/2 a green bell pepper
2 large tomatoes

Dump the can of Guinness and stock/gravy into pot and set to high.

Saute the chopped onion and minced garlic, then add to pot.

Season the meat with salt and fresh ground black pepper, then pan sear it and add to pot.

Partially open the can of Garbanzo beans, drain and discard the brine solution. Add the beans to the pot.

Peel and slice carrots and add to pot.

Wash and slice celery and add to pot.

Gut the bell peppers removing the seeds, slice and add to pot.

Chop the tomatoes and add to pot. Add parsley flakes and a splash of Worcestershire sauce.

Wait until the pot comes up to boiling, then set to low and cook for 6 - 8 hours.

Serve with rice or mashed taters. Add hot sauce to pep it up a notch.

12v? Isn't there a perfectly good heating element hanging off the side of most motorcycles?

good one, but I'd sub half a bottle of 2 buck red for the guiness and and potted gravy. I do this bi-weekly, subtle ingredient mods, but I like the carmelizing effect pan cooking brings to it. gives me something to chop up whilst thinking about death, and ready to scarf in an hour. the wine breaks it down faster than beer, and I've got nothing else to do except think about death, so thats how I do it.
I do like to rub the meat out with sea salt overnight.
Only 6 cloves of garlic? Heresy...
