There are so few opportunities that its a buyer's market so teams can wait as long as they want. I bet we don't know much more until sometime in January or even further into 2019.

A BARFer who should know said Hayden Gilliam is returning to Rickdiculous for 2019. There are a lot of rumors about JD.

I'm sure Westby's team will be racing next season but I'll believe the Factory Aprilia thing when I see it.

It's hard to promote a series (not to mention promotional contract/track agreements, etc.) when you have nothing to promote.

there are more rumors about JD than anyone else in the paddock. Flatrack for a big paycheck, Rickdiculous in SS, and now even a Moto2 rumor. ppl still want him on the Yosh ride, even though it seems very unlikely.

Westby announced re-signing Scholtz this week with that Ape tidbit. im also not holding my breathe for the Ape deal.

MA news and excitement is so bad that forum ppl are still talking about Spies and Hayes

So few seats on competitive equipment is sure frustrating to us.
Imagine what is doing for Wayne Rainey and the MA honchos.

Hard to launch when you only have enough rocket fuel to get you off the pad.

u probably didnt mean it that way. that really can be taken as an analogy for the whole MA series. things are getting better in a lot of ways - but in other arguably more important ways, things are still getting worse.

Not meant to burn MA at all. They had few cards in the deck when they took over. Without more factory opportunities it is hard to have the series prosper the way it could.

Having Attack and Ridiculous on the grid is such a win for them given how competitive they are. Not sure if they are actually making a profit from it, but the amount of respect to all the private teams from me is large.

and if Attack doesnt sign Herrin or Melandri, Stanboli prob won't show up

without more paid rides, its hard to have the series prosper. that used to mean "factory", but it cant anymore. even Yamaha is pulling support, so we gotta do it without them IMO.

if MA continues to up the subsidy to the teams and expands it to smaller teams, I think thats a great step to increasing the number of paid rides. at first, itd prob just increase the grid size, which brings more fans in and increases viewership, which brings more $$, etc etc. MA is in the best position to inject $$ straight into the paddock and it helps.
