The pic is from Rea's Instagram stories.

The rumored GRT Yamaha team is the one Dan Halen was referring to with the Petronas sponsorship. There has been speculation about Melandri and several other riders for that seat and further speculation about whether it will be a one or two bike team. More silly season fun.

Melandri is supposed to be at the EICMA show this week so that would be a great place to make an announcement if he has any news. GPone.com had a post on Monday saying MM33 will be with the GRT Yamaha team rather than MotoAmerica but I'm not counting it as real until there is an official announcement.

theres a rumor that TenKate is talking to Suzuki now. but we know that Suz won't pay for a full factory team so they can focus on GP. so TenKate is likely just looking for as much $$ and development support as possible to run a privateer effort. he should be used to it since thats all he got from Honda for the past decade.

That probably means no possibility for WSBK at Laguna this year and the July 19-21 tba will be somewhere in Europe. 2018 Brno WSBK was supposed to be a one-time deal and this 2019 tba date is only two weeks before MotoGP so a return Brno is unlikely, which is a bummer.

ya, if Dorna has a stop-gap round in mind, it'll def be in Europe so they don't have to pay extra for travel.

really, they need 2 rounds btw Donnington and Portugal. that summer break is STILL too damn long.
