I'm not sure how you do lost coast and all paved unless you're just going out to Shelter Cove. If you want to go up to Ettersburg, Honeydew, Petrolia, etc there are downhill gravel switchbacks with no warning. Not a lot of miles on gravel, but fairly unpleasant if you aren't expecting it.

Agreed. The paved routes are technically 98.6% pavement with some short gravel/dirt sections. The way I'm looking at it is if you ride your road bike on the patched and potholed backroads that make up a lot of our state you can also ride the short unpaved sections - the longest of which is the segment of 36 that is undergoing major repair.

The switchbacks out of Ettersberg will be ridden N>S so going uphill. A bit challenging on a road bike for some, but very doable if you go slow. I've seen people ride two-up through there on Goldwings so it may be a little hairball, but it can be done....

Is USAL a route? Have been dying to ride that and was hoping to do so this year before the rains...

I’m on a moto trip the last week of Sept already so let’s see if the missus is feeling generous....

Hmm I might do this in the DR if I can get it fixed by then or IF I can get it fixed. Or take the KLR on the paved route maybe.

Whats the adventure bike route like just fire roads?

Blue and Red routes both use fire roads, just more of them and more technical on the red route. Either DR or KLR is perfect for this ride.

We're putting in the order for Hats on Friday so get yourselves signed up pronto if you want another hat for your collection....

Temps should range from the 50-80 so beautiful Fall riding weather....

I expect no more than 60 riders on 3 different routes so not much to worry about in terms of dust.... maybe we'll even get a little rain before then if we're lucky.

Not close to full. We don't expect more than 40-50 riders so bring 100 of your friends....

Yu can sign up onsite Thurs evening or Friday morning.

Perfect ride for the R12GSA or 950..... you could ride the XR as well, but the big bikes might be a bit more comfortable depending on how you have your XR set up.

Two up is fine. No extra fee for your pillion.
