No worries. The uberbeasts usually stick together. I'll probably be on a Girlie, so you can count me in to help wake your Steamer up when she catnaps.

Pics of my Girlie eyeing Star_Man's Steamer... on last months ride:

Route is designed for EZ and Hard splits at each checkpoint... translate to slab or dirt... that's whats on the menu.

Aaron... Really? Gotta save up 2-months worth of weekends to ride 3 days in Death Valley with us?

A bunch of Sac brethren joining us, and Leo_jb and Co. riding in the opposite direction. We're going to have to hussle to hold our ground on Rayhouse Rd. or we'll be spectators in the bush watching them going the other way.

Mike... that's 2 noshows in a row! Whaazzzzupppp? No worries, Sid had 2 'mechanical problems' on his Katoom 990 ADV in a row... we started wondering... then he made the ride last month to show the young bucks on thumpers whazzup!

Sid manhandles his uberbeast... we rode Frank Raines OHV last Sunday...Blue-8 and Excite-Bike probably have 'proof of life' photos and videos.

Tim did the February ride on his Versys... no issues... . but then his bragging rights got trumped by Dan on a Triumph Bonneville, and Alex in March on a V-Strom full luggage plus passenger! Andy does the route on his FZ6. We were expecting Craig on his H-D Crossbones last month... but the drizzle cancelled the debut performance.

I just noticed that the day switched to Saturday!

I'm going to put myself as a big fat probably.

I just need to be back by 5pm because I'm on call at work.

Still waiting on a part from the dealer... should be able to make it, but I dont have too much more than 100 mile range per tank. Is that going to be an issue?

No issue. primary refueling point is Cache Creek Casino: 80 miles from start point. Alternative is Lower Lake junction CA-29/CA-53 75 miles from start point.

We often have plated bikes (truck/trailer in) at the Start point or one of the checkpoints. No problem making the Cache Creek refuel point. Paul plans to ride his TE630 so you Husky guys can share parts. What no Husky Moab/Pismo Beaches?

Check out Dean's Maxxis Goldspeed Supermotard rain tires! and the massive front rotor... he paid for that a bit later...

Question 1: Has anyone tried to get to Jerusalem Grade from Knoxville? Is it possible?

There are a few tiny tracks that seem like they *might* get over there, but it doesn't look great...

Just trying to eke out a little more dirt...
Most of the dirt purist peel off at Knoxville OHV to find the single tracks and gnarly routes (making the ride 80% dirt)... the ADV riders stick to the route... and there is always opportunity to just stay on the slab... something for any level of experience/comfort. The location is close enough for Bay Area and Sac riders, plus we avoid the crowds at Hollister/Carnegie/Frank Raines (which we ride every 4th Sunday of the month)

I really want to go on this but will be out of town this weekend. Is this a Monthly thing? I just got a dual sport and it would be good to go with people that actually know what they are doing...

What's the deal with the trail ratings out there? I haven't found a map that rates the trails.

Chris - I don't think I've ever seen the trails rated out in Knoxville. Are you riding with us on Saturday? Bring the DR... Stiffler is coming down from Sacramento, and Blue-8 up from MountainView.

The tracks seem much more 'natural' than Carnegie or Frank Raines.

Catfish posted these .gpx tracks for Knoxville OHV: http://www.gpsxchange.com/phpBB2/vie...5a691685ec182f
