Anderson is in the cat bird seat thanks to injuries.
He will remain in podium contention all years as long as he is healthy.

Barcia remains the surprise of the season. Happy for him!! Keep it going bam bam!

Second qualifying session had fourteen riders within a second. Not sure we've ever seen that before.

Totally agree, Freise is legit. He just needs that elite level endurance and he'd probably break into the top five.

I am actually surprised that Peick is that far off.

Wilson is back. He has work to do.

Webb just has not shown big on the big bikes other than a flash or two. I know the kid is all in.

Tickle and Babbit are solid but remain tier two. A podium possible, but not expected. Brayton looks like he is in for some of that.

Always liked how Seely rides. Reminds me of Windam and Bailey before him. Just has not gotton over the hump and had not show signs he will this year.

My guess:
Anderson
Tomac
Roczen

Anyone else have supercross cut to a commercial mid 250 main 1 and then pop back to the race?

I hope someone will post up a UTube of the race once it's run. Or at least a highlight reel. Really close qualifying times and fast laps.

But the super tough, in shape fast guys will show up after about 10 laps or so.
I'm a Ken Roczen fan. If he can stay cool and healthy, not push too hard ... then he can beat ALL these guys even though he's still recovering.
Go 1/2 power Kenny!

But this racing is a bit boring when looking back in the heyday of James Stewart in the Two Stroke era. How many times did he fall on the first lap ... then win coming back from dead last running away from the whole field.

Or LAP the whole field. It was really embarrassing. He did this many times.
Probably why they fucked him up. Best I've ever seen.

I really liked the 3-main format. That's one of the MEC 'gimmicks' they could keep and I wouldn't complain.

Some great racing tonight. Mixed feelings on the Triple Crown format. On one hand, more races that actually mean something. On the other hand (as Roczen alluded to last week in the post race interviews), they are too short and its less of an endurance competition. Maybe make it like motocross, two longer motos? Dunno. But I did enjoy the racing!

I was really rooting for Seely to push that last race. And El Hombre finally got a decent start and took off in the final race. Man, If Eli is really still not 100% as they are saying, we are going to see some great battles to come between him and Jason Anderson. Bam Bam is strong and proving the past two races werent flukes (I was suspect.) How cool was it for Brayton to do so well on and for a satellite team? Mike Genova might finally get some payback for all the effort and money he has put into the team. Bummed Money Marvin wasnt healthy.

So many good battles and stories to remember tonight. I guess that is a testiment to the format. Who knows, maybe I'll come around to it afterall.

Agree, super bummed about Musquin.

They went 11 laps, 16 laps and 19 laps, for a total of 36 laps. At A1 they went 9 laps and then 24 laps, for a total of 33 laps, but 5 laps less in the single main versus the third main. It's gotta be a wash.

I found the new format interesting. More starts more intensity to be up front or get there quick. SX used to have a two moto format moons ago.

Not watching the last chance stuff was fine with me. Every televised moment meant something. I guess I would call it a win.

Nice to see Tomac back. He looked good.
El Hombre.. OK now I get it.. He is looking fast and solid.
Seely showed smooth and fast and some pretty aggressive riding in that last moto trying to get up front.
Roczen just was not flowing... but other guys seemed a bit challenged by the track layout as well.

That track was alright... I wondered how you got beer and bathroom breaks in the on track VIP seating..
