I really liked the 3-main format. That's one of the MEC 'gimmicks' they could keep and I wouldn't complain.
Thanks for posting those links. I only found highlight reels last night.

I suppose sprint races are more entertaining for the crowd but event becomes less a marathon. Affects different riders in different ways. Jury still out for me.

Good to see Eli get his head on straight. He could win it all with consistency.

There you go baffling me with that science and math argument. You know I can only count to 10, because thats how hight my stereo turns up.

Not watching the last chance stuff was fine with me. Every televised moment meant something. I guess I would call it a win.

Nice to see Tomac back. He looked good.
El Hombre.. OK now I get it.. He is looking fast and solid.
Seely showed smooth and fast and some pretty aggressive riding in that last moto trying to get up front.
Roczen just was not flowing... but other guys seemed a bit challenged by the track layout as well.

That track was alright... I wondered how you got beer and bathroom breaks in the on track VIP seating..
Change scares me. Longer two moto format might be better. The short sprint really just benefit the strong starters IMO. It was great night of racing and more memorable moments... so I might just have to get over it and enjoy.

On a more serious note, I really think we need to organize a Barf contingent for MxDN this year at Red Bud. I've never been to one and I cant think of a better track in America than Red Bud.

Fly into Chicago or Detroit and rent an RV. Load up on supplies and drive to track where I would eat, drink, sleep, immerse myself in the MxDN crowd for a few days. I have a vision...... I'll pm you after Baja.

Roughly 30 minutes of racing for both the 250s and 450s, that's 2 hours of things other than racing.

The SX program is egregiously long and the "god fearing American boy" schtick is really too much for me.

That being said, those bastards can ride.

I also DVR to reduce the time.

I personally don't have an issue with some of the guys being religious. Many sports have that aspect and if it helps drive the athlete's good for them. I take it as a blessing of living in a free country.

Didn't watch anything but the racing, so I dunno if there was something religious going on in between? As far as the racers go, I figure if you earn your way to a microphone, you can say whatever you want. But, it's a marketing game and the moto crowd is just a hop and skip to the nascar crowd, so I expect some 'murica things.

Looks like Tomac is back.

Very cool track for this round.
Barcia continues to impress and Roczen looked solid.
Anderson was just a bit off, but gutted it out.

Bummed for Brayton and Seely getting touch starts. Both showed speed. Oh well.

Poor Reedy.

Oakland next up!

Tomac looked strong start to finish. Roczen paced himself and made no mistakes ... and pushed a bit harder towards the end. Wished he could have moved up one more place.

Barcia showed good conditioning. But Roczen almost caught him. Tomac was untouchable. Anderson was way off up till about half way point ... then he mentally regrouped and started moving up. IMO, he did great. He had a bad night but will recover ... he will be back.

Shaping up to be a GREAT season with several TOP contenders so far.

Go KENNY!

Haven't looked at the lap times, but to me it really looked like Tomac faded. That race would have been mighty interesting with another 3-5 laps.
