So I managed to blow 2 holes in my motor at my last trackday:( Well, I know I have to replace my motor, but now my question is do I need to replace the tires (both got a substantial amount of oil on them) or can they be cleaned?

I would likely not keep the tires on the track bike, luckily they are the same size as my street bike, so I would probably swap them over if there is a way to sufficently clean them.

Thanks for the help,
Sue

Spray them with contact cleaner (alcohol) and wipe them down. They should be fine. Go easy during the first ride to make sure.

+1 to using alcohol

i've also used dish soap and water

follow up with a big burnout. ok. the burnout's just for fun.

Here's a picture showing you the best way to clean oil off your rear tire. Try the above mentioned technique for your front.
