Finally getting around to making it pretty. Here it is pre-powdercoat and paint...

Friggin' Beautiful!!! (But I think you want to adjust your chainslack. It'a a little loose. :twofinger)

at this point, i would be SOOOO tempted to install the clip-ons, rig some sort of bicycle crank on the engine mounting holes and peddle that sucker around the neighborhood.

Very cool ... I remember seeing another thread here a while ago and I was :drool for a long period of time! BTW, were did that subframe start life from?

Thanks for the kind words. The subframe started life as a stock MV subframe. "minor" modification has it fitting on a Gen 1 SV!
One of my goals was to make this bike without any "permanent" mods. Hard to believe maybe, but every mod is a bolt on relative to the SV. The subframe is one-off, as is the RC 30 swinger and all bodywork. But the SV could go back to stock.
Like that'll ever happen....

Very Keen. Almost seems like it needs a chin spoiler, tho'

Great work, looks like a lot of love went into it!

forks??

Mebbe its me, but is that right fork leg bent? Those are zx-6 forks right?

that picture makes me think one thing: your garage is way too clean for that many different projects to be going on!

i bet it's more "optical illusion" from the canopy background

whoops, I stand corrected, those are zook parts more than likely since kaws dont black nitride their shizz.

I don't think the forks are bent.

When you shoot with a point and shoot, and use the widest angle, you will get an anti-fisheye effect.

It's really noticeable on certain cameras and when you shoot something fairly vertical, it will look more obvious.

Forks are, indeed, '03 GSX-R 1K. And they're not bent.

Had thought about adding a chin spoiler but I like the 1/2 fairing look of the SVS model and I wanted to echo that look with a bit 'edgier' styling. We'll see how it all looks with paint. I can always build one later...

Thats gonna look class when its finished,i had a buddy who was going to put the same tailpiece on an older gixxer a couple of years ago.
