Brings back memories. Seeing those guys wrestle the 500cc machines around the track is something we'll never see again. The relative tame power delivery and traction control of the 4 strokes takes some of the fun out of watching MotoGP.

Schwantz is THE MAN! Demon the the brakes.

yep, I remember watching them get the front wheel off the ground coming out of the corkscrew downhill.

doohan sitting in the middle of the track dazed and confused after hitting a haybale. Living in Oregon at the time I was very dissapointed in his accident right before the 93 race.

I remember one year taking pics at the end of the front straight
trying to get pics of them pulling wheelies out of turn 1 and Lawson's brakes fell apart, he went hard into the wall outside 2.

Got one of Kevin with the Camo helmet? He wore it for practice only in the 1991 GP to support troups of Desert Shield...

Great pictures! I have a few going back to 89, but NONE of them are that good! All the good ones I have were taken by a photog buddy.

I have no idea how to re-size them :)

My pics from 88-90 were pretty bad, I bought a Canon EOS 630 and a 100-300mm lens for the race in 91 and noticed I could get
alot better pics then I could with my old Manual focus Nikon and JC penny's finest zoom lens. I went and practiced panning at the club races at Willow springs here in So. California before the 94 USGP and got alot better at it.
The 250cc bikes were pretty easy for me but the 500's are a so much faster.
