I had a total blast start to finish, what an awesome ride!!! Huge thanks to JP & Garret for organizing this ride and great to enjoy such good times with Chris and Eric too!
I clocked 343 miles total.

Day 1 - 161 miles- Start in Windsor, back roads to Skaggs Springs Road, Skaggs Springs Road out to the coast. Cruised coast up to Fish Rock Road (dirt!), Fish Rock Road into Boonville, Highway 128 out to the coast, HWY-1 north to Fort Bragg.
Hotel and a delicious dinner.

Day 2 - 182 miles - From Fort BRagg we hit Sherwood Road (dirt), hwy 20 to Clearlake, Scott Valley Road into Lakeport, hwy 175 over to Hopland, Mountain House Road, hwy 128 into Cloverdale, the much anticipated Geysers Road that spit us back out in Healdsburg, 10 miles south back into Windsor to my place where we can all relax and go home.

Sherwood road (30 miles of dirt & mud & trees & locked gates) this morning was absolutely the most fun I've had on any bike ever!!!!!!
2 locked gates to go around, fallen trees, the mud holes just got worse and deeper as we went, slippery shit all over the place, loose gravel where it was dry- so damn much fun I can't wait to do this again soon! (when's the next one JP?)

on with some pics-
(I've thinned these down the best I can, can't lose anymore, sorry.):p

The MAN that made it all happen!

The morning started off....COLD...and foggy. (40 something I believe)

10.jpg

Warmed up when we hit Skaggs, omg what an amazing road! the fast part was fun, but the best was from the bridge to the coast. That alone is worth a drive up to do laps!!!

Eric was the bravest! He f'n Man'd up and crossed that mini lake like it wasn't there.:thumbup

last shot of the day- Geyser road over looking a thermo...damn, JP, what's it called again?

Good times, I'm seriously in for round two of this route in a few months, maybe after a good rain to make sure the ride is nice and exciting!

damn you guys are sick. i always wanted one of those bikes but I cant even put both toes on the ground, I'm only 5'6. what kind of bike is the yellow one

ol yeller is a Suzuki DRZ400SM. (mine)
Garret - DRZ400SM (black, silver on tank)
Chris - DR650
Eric - Husky 610 (red n white)
JP - Husky 610 (black n gray)

many peeps on here have them, Yana being one of the well known and lowered ones. She is a tad shorter than you and can flat foot her DRZ-SM!

Lowering is under $150, easy and doesn't take much away from the bike, it's worth it all the way!!!

Yes ol yeller performed beautifully this weekend, couldn't ask for a better bike!
Plenty o' power, nice second gear wheelies, shift third, keep goin.:p
Pilot Powers aren't real good on those roads but it sure makes it exciting slidin' the rear around those gravel roads!:party

Awesome pics, you guys are pretty hardcore!!! :hail

And yes, those bikes can do all that, I can't get enough of playing on mine! :thumbup

(I'm about 5'-2" and can flatfoot the DRZ in my Daytona LadyStar boots. The lowering I did is least invasive, with just dogbone links, bar risers and seat-trimming - all able to go back to stock within an hour.)

I love the bikes in the motel rooms!!!! :cool

:laughing

Yana:banana

Epic!

Looks like a hoot. Thanks for the pics, my vicarious thrill. I am starting to think that 'Motard' is french for 'Road Closed.'

Work was awesome yesterday! The roads were clear and open both ways. The weather was, well it was dark. Did a total of 7 miles...

This isn't working, work sucks, wish I had been with y'all.

Damn Mike, nice pictures! Sherwood was a blast! I'd do it again in a heartbeat! I'm glad you guys all had fun. We had to prove that us Northbay guys can put on a friggin' Epic ride too :)

JP, I've got some ideas for next time to try and keep us off 128. Just let me know a date ;)

I'm about 5'6'' and I handle my stock height DRZ fairly well. I say fairly because I'm not good at actually riding it, but getting on and off and standing still I'm pretty good at :)

Looks like we all missed a fun ride!!! Too bad and sorry that video thingy did not work so well. Hope to make the next trip!
