I've torn my ACL, and after surgery it looks like I won't be riding much more than my Monster for about 9 months. No more enduros, no more hare scrambles, no more street hooliganism.
So the Husky is up for grabs.
She's my trusty 1998 TE 610, with a brand new top end. I've had her for about two years, and had been using the bike as my city hooligan ride, with the occasional weekend goat trail trip.
When it became obvious the bike needed the head gasket replaced, I went ahead and sent it out to get the whole top end rebuilt. New high compression piston, valves and guides, nikasil plating, degreed cam, the works. I heat cycled the motor when I got it back, and then was able to take one trip to 236 from The City before I tore the ACL. There can't be more than 150 miles on the motor. It's not been ridden since, although it was recently fired up.
I've got the stock plastics, a white set (currently on the bike), and a set of carbon fiber plastics. I'm running the stock tank, but I've also got an oversized tank, too.
It's on 18-21 Excels, with more-street-than-dirt Pirelli rubber, which allows the best of all hooliganism. Although a set of 17s would be oh-so-sweet!
What else... Supertrapp exhaust, Acerbis handguards with signals, skid plate, magneto (no battery), left hand kick (which I should mention takes getting used to!)
Sad to see it go, but I'm not in a position to be riding anyway. If it's around, I'll likely end up riding it and jeopardizing my knee.
Make my loss your gain. couldn't help myself...
Asking $2500.
