I know during a background investigation and Polly, questions whether the applicant has ever done specific drugs in one's lifetime arise. Are there specific drugs which can permanently disqual. an applicant of becoming a LEO?

This has been addressed in the "Becoming a LEO 101" thread. The short answer is.. it depends upon the agency. Each has their own criteria as to what drugs and timetables as to the lase useage. If the use is FIRST coming up in the Poly.. then you are out in left field. ANY past drug use should have been disclosed and addressed well before the polygraph exam.
