Loud bikes in Yosemite...

When hiking Vernal and Nevada Falls. You can hear the the Shuttle buses all the time. The low rumble sound can be heard, once your away from the sound of the river.

Only certain sounds that carry. Cars, horns, peoples voices, garbage trucks all silent.

Back packing it many miles in the Valleys above Nevada falls. Could hear a VW bug with moderate loud pipes in middle of the night. A Ranger drove like clockwork from the Campgrounds to the Village then back again.

Harley's wasn't an issue from what I've heard.

Try camping on Mt. Tam any given Saturday night. Those damn motards will BRAAAAP you & everyone in the canyon wide awake around 7:30! :squid

I hate it when free soloer's land in the road as im riding through the valley, where the hell do they drop from anyways:wtf

I noticed the noise the last time I was in Sequoia National Park, south of Yosemite. On top of Moro Rock, enjoying the spectacular view, I could hear a group of Harleys at least five miles away on the road coming into the park from the South. I couldn't hear any other vehicles at all on the same road.

I don't want to see any new noise laws for national parks, but I really wish those guys would leave their loud bikes at home, or at least put back on a real muffler when visiting the national parks.
