4,000 miles into this trip, and I'm finally getting a chance to upload a few photos.
Rode through Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Texas, and into Mexico.

Rode the devils backbone yesterday in Durango/Sinaloa. What a cool place.

Currently in Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico. Heading north, and finally back to the bay area in a couple of days.

Some pretty interesting sites, and many cool encounters.

Rain in Mexico guarantees a filthy bike.

I'll post more when I get home. :)

Sweet dude! :thumbup Can't wait to see more pics. Did you get a chance to ride the area in Colorado that Dave suggested?

Awesome. :thumbup Marry me and have my babies! :love

U did that with a ducati??

...and a Chromo no less! :thumbup Monsters are great all-around bikes and they don't break the bank like a lot of people think. The 2 valve, oil cooled twins are remarkably hardy. Now, Machete tends to push his bike just a tad and I'm not sure the average Duc would handle his abuse...I think it doesn't break out of spite. :laughing Tell us my li'l habanero...how long has it been since you did a valve check?

Awesome. :thumbup Marry me and have my babies! :love

:laughing any day DH, any day! ;)
last leg was from Tucson, Az. to SF and got home late last night, looked like a zombie. Roughly 5600 miles total. start miles 57,380. end miles 62,985.

no valve check in...uh....lets see....since they changed a valve at 49,500 miles. meh. she's tough. guess i'll do some service on her now.

sorting photos, took over 1500.

and yes, did all this on a Ducati. Don't always believe what you're told about certain makes of bike.

Just like I've been sayin all along, 2valvers aint no prima donnas!

Good on ya!

so 4 pictures huh?

shut it Hippie! :twofinger

have to resize the batch, and will start tonight, if I don't drink too much at the meet. :teeth

been stupid busy since I got back.

here's a photo for you Linda! :p

So, a few weeks back I got a call that my grandfather wasn't doing the greatest, and maybe I should come out and hang with him while he is still up and about. I called him, and asked if he wanted to go to the grand canyon with me. I'd fly out, and we'd drive to see it. He's always wanted to see it.

He didn't bat an eye, and said yes. :laughing

I bought a ticket to fly out, and then other things came up and it seemed that it would be better to have the whole family there in Texas for a bit of a reunion. So grand canyon out.

I was supposed to fly out on a Thursday, and the Saturday before, while sitting at work bored, I got to thinking. I got 2 weeks off, why not go for a little motorcycle ride. I've been bored to tears lately, and needed a nice long challenging ride.

So I cancelled my flight on Saturday night, and Monday morning, loaded up my bike and rode out without any plan, other than, I should be in Tyler, Tx. by about Thursday evening or Friday. :teeth

I left SF about 10:30 am 10/6 and rode east, boring hwy's and finally the hill climb into Yosemite. The pass was still open, and nice and cool weather for some gorgeous scenry.

Here's a couple photos that started the trip....

Riding through Yosemite, and stopped at a lake for a photo. Dropped down into Lee Vinning and ate at my favorite burger joint.

photos at Mono Cone, and the day getting longer. I know the way points more a less, and figured instead of the boring I40 on the southern route home, I'd cut straight across towards Utah and such.

So out of Yosemite, I took 120 east, to hwy 6 and onto hwy 95/6 to Tonopah, Nv. Was making good time, but knew that the desert would serve up some boring straight line roads.

So stretched out the engine and gave it a nice run. :teeth
