51 mph on the 205 in Tracy. I know I'm going to get hate mail from this, just like that last high speed post, but I think this is worth a post. So I took a trip to Tracy, then Manteca on a business trip. While I was in Manteca I decided to go by and visit Interstate 205.
On my way back to Tracy, Interstate 205 was haulin', it was in the middle of the day, a 5 mile long road with a lot of cars, and no turns... Just couldn't resist it so I went for it. I'm proud of this speed, especially coming from a 850cc V2, so that's why I'm posting it. Here is a pic of my top speed and the road I was on, Interstate 205.
4,900 rpm's,
17/41 sprocket
not a single living thing in sight, other than the other cars on the road, a couple of semi's, and two Prius in the fast lane, limiting my real top speed.
And I know someone will bring it up, so before it is asked; the Aprilia speedo is are very accurate for their temperatures, and I can view my top speed, average speed, and average MPG at the push of a button. I just took the picture today, but I did the ride yesterday. Not a bad speed for a V Twin.
It really wasn't 2:05 PM, I just haven't changed daylight savings on the clock yet. It was 71 degrees in the garage though.
