Medium.:)

but as said, I believe goats are "paved" roads, I don't consider dirt roads goats, those are simply....dirt roads.:p

Finally, one I've ridden!

I'd like to retract my vote from Lots to Medium :toothless It may be a bit bumpy (especially ridden on a YSR), but nothing compared to Tunitas Creek Rd :p

I voted not a goat... but it has been a while... then after reading your descriptions, I'd like to change my vote to medium goat... tunitas creek is pretty effed in spots. hmm I wanna go riding :(

I knew it would get interesting once we got into the middle ground.

edit: It also looks like we might have a little anchoring bias happening.

Rode Stage today and took some pictures. I don't know what a goat trail is, but Stage sure is fun.

If you want to ride a real goat road (sections of it at any rate), try Sheep Ranch Road.

To paraphrase Korzbski...."the name is not the thing named, the description is not the thing described". (If it were, you'd be like the schizophrenic who ate the menu....."Mmmm....steak and fries!")

It doesn't matter a damn what you call it other than a road. Stage Road is fun to ride....especially on an R1200GS. :teeth

I wouldn't consider stage a goat trail
maybe my definition is off?

I put NOT a goat. Definitely has some ugly dips in it, so it's not a smooth ride, but it's fairly wide and paved well except for the sections with the dips from hell.

Yep, rode it on the way back from the BARF rally. Definitely goaty, but play along. Chris is on to something. :cool

Stage is a LOT easier than Tunitas, partly because it's much shorter and there aren't a lot of trees making it dark and dirty.
