THE PACE: ABSOLUTELY NEWBIE. Posted speed limits on turns will be STRICTLY followed. The Lead may opt to go slower if necessary. Approximately 4 hours of riding/stops (excluding lunch) depending on road conditions and group pace.

PURPOSE:
1) To familiarize new riders with the Loop which includes riding thru twisties.
2) To familiarize new riders with group riding.

Who should join:
Newbies
1) If you have about 3000 or so miles riding experience (exceptions can be made).
2) If you have very little or no group riding experience.
3) If you have very little or no twisties riding experience.

Newbie groups of 5 riders per group Including lead and sweep are what we are hoping for. This number of riders depends upon how many lead and sweep volunteers we get. If the newer riders learn from the more experianced people, perhaps some of the accidents will decrease during the riding season.

This is a great way to get our community to get together and meet and greet with the newbies and others, you don't have to be a complete newb to attend but you will have to abide by the rules.

Both BARF riders and SBR riders will be listed. The grouping will be posted from time to time, but are subject to change. Friends are encouraged to ride in different groups so that you meet new riders to hopefully enjoy the mountains with in the future. If two people need to be in the same group, it can be done for a fee..

Please only post or if you are definitely attending.

In past year's we have always had a large turn out so Sign up soon to be sure of a spot.

Rain will cancell the ride, but, We've been lucky so far[ 8 years] and no rain.:teeth

You can just sign-up here with a "I'm in". :thumbup

Signed up in the volunteer thread as a sweep (or as a lead if really lacking). :thumbup

I'll be at Infineon the day before, so the slow pace would be pretty relaxing for me. :teeth

I look and feel like a nubie, therefore "I'm in" :thumbup
Soooooo, we meet by a bush at the intersection of Lake Road and 280? :ride

:laughing I think you will find the meeting spot pretty easily, just look for a whole lot'a bikes @ the vista point .:thumbup
Just south of 92@280

for some reason I haven't been able to post the pic of the spot.:x

tough route for new to twisties riders. pescadero has a habit of scrubbing in tires AND fairings also.

tell the newest ones to keep eyes peeled on turns for wet spots.

:nerd

I had the same questions about last years ride. Although the route might be challenging to ride fast, it's great at a mellow place. I highly doubt there will be any trouble.
