I don't know how or why but MMP sent me tickets for WSBK Sunday.

No going this time :cry
These can be upgraded w/paddok pass for $15 and grandstand seating $10

Tell me your sob stories, I have 4 tickets that should go to broke ass racers like yourselves.
2 per story posted here, NO PM's

Thanks, Sonny

I have never been to any races. Not even the Grand Prix when it was in town.

I have had my bike, but never seen anything past 100- which is a good thing! I am sure it can go a lot faster. I would like to see Suzuki make it to the top!

I am single so to have an extra ticket might make my life a little more interesting! I am broke, and am underwater on a Condo I just bought last year, right after that I bought my love, 2003 Suzuki GSX-R 750 Yellow! I might have to sell this in order to skim by for the next year, as luckily I am still working, but got a pay cut. Which was totally unexpected. I have to ration everything I eat, to save for later.

To experience this would be like winning the lottery! A thing to remember for life.

If you pick me I will be greatful, and would be willing to lend a hand with a move if you happen to move, or just chill out and have a couple of beers.

Thanks!

I cut my little toe off on my left foot when I was only 5 years old! I cried a little bit! :(

Well, I am doing everything I can to get somewhere racing because it is my passion but am pretty much out of money and no sponsorships. I will be doing the miller round with wera and sleeping in my van. I only use one rear tire a weekend and take off front's to cut cost as much as possible. I am 5th in points after being nailed in one of the races losing points. I barely got my bike back together and it is still primered because paint is not an option. I have never seen WSBK except on TV and it is my FAVORITE racing right now. My HERO ben spies is pushing that yamaha beyond its limits and the racing is still REALLY close and fair. I even heard rumors of rossi switching to WSBK in the next couple years if Dorna keeps making crap rules. Anyways my sob story is I live at home with my dad, have all my credit cards maxed out and spend every dime I make trying to make it as a racer. I really can not afford to buy tickets to WSBK but could only imagine still being able to go. I would stay in Utah in my van since I am already out there and want to save all money possible.

You could raffle the tix off and give the money to EA fund..

I will be there the week before so I dont' think I can afford to hang out all week to watch WSBK. :( would be so bitchin'!!

That's handled, and this is for peeps without the means, even for such a good cause.

Hmmm. Well, I was definitely going to go, then dropped my reservations and travel to make plans for surgery. Today, I found out the surgery is not going to take place until after the race weekend. So, now I need to re-arrange more expensive travel and lodging, plus procure tickets all while looking at my unpaid time off work and coming back to something rather un-fun. But at least I'll have a good time beforehand with pictures, racer interviews and memories. And I'll make sure I post about (because I'll have some free time then) my mis-adventures back here on BARF while I'm healing up.

Not that sad, but definitely fucked-up. Oh, and I'd only need one ticket. I guess that's kinda sad. :laughing

I haven't been able to finance my own racing since '07 due to an obsession with trying to keep up and follow all the drama and goings on here in Racer's Corner. My obsessive-compulsiveness to read and digest every post to some of these long and heated threads has kept me locked like a prisoner to my keyboard, preventing me from manifesting a sufficient income to help with the toilet flush of dollars that comes with racing. I so wanna get back to racing so I can feel like a rockstar throwing hotel room toilets out the window instead. Getting help with entry to the WSBK round at Miller would go a long way in helping break the chains that bound me, and would keep the passionate fires a'burning that will, with your charitable act, bring me back home to my hood......the motorcycle race track. Please, oh please help me! :):ride:thumbup

Really, just a broke mofo who'd love to go Miller. WSBK is the snizzle, yo!

Thanks everyone for the stories.

winner-jrace

The man who is on top of everything here, gives us updates and results. The next best thing to being at a race, is bench racing a bunch of squid know-it-alls in one of his threads :twofinger

pm addy and I'll mail out 2 tix

2nd winner will be decided this evening

4 Balls-winner (but since you claim WERA, you must post a pic of Zoran next to you) :p

Before I started racing, I read an article in City Bike about a guy who finally got a ride. He drove to nationals and slept in the van or truck or whatever, sustained himself on PB&J sandwiches, etc. I thought it was a good story of how some sacrifice for the racing fix, and if we're lucky and fast we get a ride.
Not everyone is JRP so good luck.

PM addy and I'll mail them to you.

I've been trying REALLY hard to "re-educate" young Mormon girls here in the East Bay, but there just aren't that many around. Now Salt Lake City, that's like the motherload. Think of how many poor young lasses could be saved from 2 years living in a mud hut, instead learning to be lewd and promiscuous? Help me. Help me to help them. :thumbup

Sweet!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I can not wait to watch my hero ben spies in action. I think he is one of the most talented racers I have seen in my time.:ride
