STOP! Picture time!

Mopar owned the day this time, starting with not one, but two Plymouth trucks. When is the last time you saw a Plymouth truck?

then there was this gem. Owner runs an auto restoration business, and did almost everything himself. Keith Black street hemi, twin plug heads, fuel injection (plumbed inside the OEM magnesium manifold, with the two Holleys being used solely for their butterflies), 10:1 compression, A-833 four-speed with Gear Vendors OD.

The only demo that might argue the day didn't belong to Mopar would be the truck people. There were a lot of trucks, but only a few interested me.
Could've parked the Crosley under the Unimog. I think they both had the same top speed, too.

while this 1927 (1928?) had, arguably, the simplest engine on the lot, yet I cannot figure out the plumbing.

there were some GMs there, but frankly, they were outclassed. nothing I hadn't seen before.

and then there were the indescribable and unexplainable, starting with this home-built, 1/2-scale, whatever-it-is. note rear-mounted, blown V-8. Of all the cars there, this is the one I wanted to test-drive the most.

not that this dual-engined, articulated sand buggy didn't look like a blast, too...

but not every car was some kind of over-powered freak with two small engines or one huge engine, there was also this VW Beetle.

there were also bikes, but nothing amazing, nothing jet-powered, none with front-wheel drive, etc.
