It's Thanksgiving and I thought we needed a BARF Heroes recognition thread thread. Please take the time and be thankful for the superheroes amongst us.

This morning I went out to the shop and uncovered the Cagiva. If it weren't for Super Mike and Planegray I believe this bike would still be held prisoner in Walnut Creek by XXX_XXXXX. Mike and Stephen, you are my BARF heroes.

(Connie I didn't mention you because you are already way beyond hero status)

while not a "hero" in the standard sense, jimrace went out of his way for many years and used his racing contacts to make some epic threads.

I also want to recognize VFRweasle for having the strength to stick it out then to form a club to support other bikers.
Here here! :thumbup

VALGAR, do not forget VALGAR.
:applause

Jim is definitely a HUGE contributor, and someone I have a lot of respect for doing what he does for the motorcycling community

Budman, Doc Wong and GaryJ and the whole list of Moderators. :thumbup

Haven't met the other 2 but without Budman & BARF I wouldn't be where I am at today. I didn't even know about trackdays or racing before BARF and now I am racing in the AMA and it all traces back to this forum and the threads and info I received when I got my first bike!!!

Well damn, BARF is full of heroes!
There is always some thread about on of the members here going that bit extra to help another member.
Then Connie, puts in all that time trying to get riders to wear gear and tops that off by offering her trailer to haul in crippled bikes.
The MODs here do a fantastic job and that can't be an easy job either. Then the LEOs take the time and put in the effort to try to interface with the riding public to give us an insight into what they do and why the do it, along with offering help and advice, only to suffer the slings and arrows of those who seem to dislike them just because the are LEOs.
And, Budman to puts up with it all and makes it all possible. The whole ball of wax.
I am truly impressed every time I log on here.

I have a few personal heroes...

Weak_Link, for introducing me to BARF in the first place. Without him, I wouldn't be where I am now...
Hooli, for introducing me to Z2... and without them, I wouldn't be racing AFM.
Burning1 & AFMotorsports, for getting me through my first couple of race weekends- couldn't have done it without you two!
Bonerov, for opening his home to a bunch of BARFers just for me!
OldFatGuy, for so many years of epic Sink parties!
Ironbutt, for rebuilding the motor in my truck when it blew the head gasket (for the 3rd time).
Jakemate, for letting me help him do the clutch on my truck, and dropping everything to rescue me when it had "issues" over in Castro Valley
tzrider, for being the type of person I aspire to be- on and off the bike.
Every single BARFer who's gone out of his or her way to help another BARFer... parts, advice, rescue service, all of it... these people are the ones who make BARF the awesome place it is! :thumbup
And let's not forget the Mods (who have a tough job, but do it so well), and Budman, for giving us BARF in the first place! :love

I'm sure there are some people I'm forgetting... :facepalm

Tycoon23, need say more. No just kidding, couldn't resist sorry (that thread made my week!). Seriously though thanks to all the people who make Barf possible and those that go out of their way to help fellow barfers.

Wow, so many people to thank. Here are a few, in no particular order:

Luckett for showing me some very fun roads and being a blast to ride with
Connie for... being Connie
Gary J for letting me follow him around on numerous occasions
KTM Ken for being a crazy one-wheel riding madman
KTM Doug for being so damned much fun to hang out with and even more fun to ride with
The list could go on but I've got guest to whom I should return. Happy Turkey Day!!!!

Can I thank everyone on here for being my personal reference library? All the questions I might have asked have already been answered, I love the "search" and "faq" sections, and to all the people who get stuff stickied, tremendous help for everyone to take advantage of.

Cagiva says Hi-SuperMike and Planegray :wave
