Thinking about a Yosemite run the Tuesday or Wednesday after Memorial Day. Haven't worked out any details yet but maybe Tioga Pass out, lunch stop, Sonora Pass back. Moderate pace. Any interest? :ride

EDIT: Date is now set for Tuesday, May 29. Here is the tentative route.

Tuesday I might be down for a daytrip...

Interested here.....

May 31st would be perfect for me, but If it's going to be either the 29th or the 30th, I'll need to get a kitchen pass for either of these 2 days.
I'll keep posted on this Rod to see what the details will be.

Like what Koi said, I'm also good for a day trip to Yosi.:thumbup

Might have had my days off switched for that week... might not... will know and post up asap.

I'm hoping they did get switched though, sundays and mondays off again, makes it much easier to do an overnighter to reno/redwoods/yosemite/etc.

I'm in. Need to put some long miles on mine, the Y sounds great. :thumbup

I'll post up a very tentative route this weekend, and we can discuss.

Also we'll have some regrouping points along the route to make sure everyone can ride their own pace.

With the big loop mentioned above we're looking at 450-500 miles, so probably not going into the Village or anything like that. Just awesome roads and scenery! If anyone has a better idea, holler up.

I'd want to stop at Glacier Point as I neglected to go there last time I was in the area... but other then that... 583 miles round trip with just a quick map... sounds like fun!

I also would be the one who would want to leave early, the earlier the better.

Sounds like a plan. Definitely interested.

If I can find a bike by then....

Yay!

Well that solves the problem of rush hour traffic on the return through Sacramento. :laughing

Isn't that solved by owning a moto to begin with?

It definitely helps. :thumbup

I dont' get why Google Chrome doesn't like Google Maps, but I haven't been able to upload a map since I switched...

Here's a link to a route I was looking at...

That's similar to what I had in mind, but it will be be dark towards the end so I was just gonna slab it thru Sac to get home.

I'll meet you guys at Hwy 4 & Byron Hwy. :thumbup

Give me a general timeframe & I'll see you there/then. :ride :drool

7:30 sounds about right (allows everyone to get going shortly after sunrise), but we'll firm it up over the next week or so.

'still lurking & waiting here for a more definite day of this Yosi ride. It just might be my longest day ride ever :wow 450-500 miles? Griffindor will have to drink alot of energy drinks :laughing on this one.
This will be fun & like what Rod posted, "Just awesome roads & sceneries" + include that "moderate pace", liking it so far.
What is moderate pace anyway?:laughing

Now it's just a matter of when & if I'll be able to get that kitchen pass. 'hope it's going to be on May 31st, ( Thursday ) so I won't need to get a pass.:x which would mean most likely that I won't get the free pass & no Yosi ride for Griffindor.
