LOLWUT?
thew place to go for random motogp related news and events.

first up, honda has a test at sepang scheduled for next week. dani staying home, and melandriquez is scheduled to get time in on hi sown. recent honda trips to the wind tunnel are causing rumors that honda will be building a marquez specific bodywork set, to better emphasize speed for him. they didnt seem to do that for nicky or marco, so they must have som efaith in this kid.

colin has already stated he feels much better working with FTR and that they actuallly listen to his advice and want to build frames around the riders preffernces, instead of the suter way of telling him just to ride the thing.

speaking of suter, not only are they building the frame for duc, they will be having design input as well. npt just to specs like FTR was doing for the 2012 season

meanwhile cortese completes a solid three days of testing for moto2 move up

At the new team’s first public appearance, the Kalex, fitted with WP Suspension (part of the KTM Group), was unveiled to the media and public. Cortese then took to the track on what was his first outing on the 600cc prototype to post a lap of 1:42’7 on the first day. By the third day this was down to 1:38’79, showing just how much progress the German and his team were making.

Cortese is aware that he must continue to adapt his riding style from the Moto3™ to the Moto2™ class, but still has 15 test days to do so. He said: “First I have to get used to the bike and the new class. So I want to prepare with as many laps as possible. It's really fun to work with this bike. I have always ridden the Moto3 bike in a different style to my colleagues. That should benefit me."

Team manager Jürgen Lingg commented: "We are on the right track. We look forward to the upcoming season. I would stress caution, however, against putting the expectations too high. "

The next test will take place, depending on the weather, in December or early January next year again in Almeria.

and the argentinian round is looking to be canceled.
Even before the Argentinian round of MotoGP had been officially added to the calendar, the race has been in doubt. The race, provisionally scheduled to take place on April 14th next year at the Termas de Rio Hondo circuit, has been caught in the crossfire between the Argentinian government and Repsol, over the former nationalizing Repsol YPF, the Argentinian arm of the Spanish petroleum giant.

Now, it looks as if the race is about to be canceled officially. According to Damià Aguilar, MotoGP reporter for Catalunya Radio, the Argentinian GP is to taken off the calendar, with an official announcement due to be made on Friday. The cancellation of the race will leave a large gap between the first race of the season at Qatar, scheduled for March 31st, and the second race at Austin, Texas, booked three weeks later on April 21st. To close up that gap, Qatar will be moved up a week and be held on April 7th instead, leaving just two weeks between the first two races.

No Argentina until 2014. Qatar is a week later now too.

I guess Argentina nationalized a branch of Repsol earlier this year.

On June 20th 2012, the Spanish government recommended that teams and riders sponsored by Repsol should not travel to the República Argentina due to safety reasons. Therefore, the celebration of the 2013 Gran Premio de la República Argentina remained under suspension until such recommendation would be kept in force.

I just watched "Fastest" again. Enjoyed it very much. Again! :laughing

I think they should make another installment when Vale retires. There will be a BUNCH of new material to present.

Eleyna too big for moto3 now and she isnt fast enough for moto2 unfortunately.

Now Joey and Cam and Bobby would all be good candidates though...
