Having trouble embedding gmap?

Looks like Google Map is making some changes in recent days. Previously, we had to change the two "http:" to "https:" between the opening and closing gmap tags.

Earlier this week, doing so would result in error. The workaround was to leave the first "http:" as is, and only change the second "http:" to "https:".

Now, it has changed again... Google Map link comes automatic with "https:". Now, we have to go in there and remove the "s" from the first "http:" tag.

Also problematic is that somehow the zoom in/out buttons are blanked out and looking like a white cross.

Can anyone make sense of this?

Your zoom buttons look OK from here. I've always changed just the first https to http and have not had any trouble. Here's an example.

I'm use'in Google Chrome incognito mode, and I ain't see'in this embedded map. (Even with the "S"s removed.) :dunno

For anyone that searches for how to embed a google map and finds this thread like I did - you do that ^ but you also enclose the url between
[ ]gmap [ ]/gmap

edit: gmap and /gmap belong between the [ ] but it won't show up if I post it that way. Hopefully this saves someone else the headache! Thanks lunchbox :thumbup

It won't work if you use Chrome, as Chrome seems to be using an embedded version of Google Earth. This is taken from IE.
