Smooth like a Porcupine
Unfortunately, I can't make the Gary J memorial tomorrow, but I'm riding in the afternoon. If you want to join me, meet at Big Rock Deli on LVR at 12:30pm, KSU at 12:45pm. There is NO gas at BRD, so be prepared with your tank full before you get there. It's your skin, but full gear is encouraged, whereas apeshit, batshit, bullshit riding is strongly discouraged - I'll tell you shape up or GTFO.
The route is this. Start at BRD, end at the Arco of SMR fame.
The roads are mostly tight and twisty, though there are some bumps and there's always potential for gravel and moisture. Yes, we backtrack a bit, but a road in reverse is not the same road! Bring hydration, as it's likely to be pretty warm during some portions.
Ride your own (safe and sane) ride, be responsible for yourself, etc. I ride The Pace (fun in the corners, chill on the straights) with an emphasis on "smooth and safe". I'm a B rider on the track and I keep it relaxed for the street. Just be prepared for more riding than talking - it is, after all, a ride.
Google says this route is 98 miles and ought to take 3:00 - I'm thinking 3:30 at most, counting a stop in the middle for a quick coffee and treat at the very awesome Tomales Bakery (which closes at 3pm). No matter what, I have other shit to do, so while I hope to meet some Barfers, if there's nobody at BRD by 12:45pm, I ain't a-waitin'...
If there are no responses by 11:30am, I reserve the right to do my own thing.
