Oy! Okay, as BARF is made up of some argumentative mo-fos, we have to have a run-off so we can pick a 3rd-place finisher after this poll: http://www.bayarearidersforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=435833 finished with a 4-way tie for third, thanks to Aprilia lovers packing the ballot box (but I can't prove that).

So let's have a re-vote! I suspect the Mille is going to come up in the top three again, but that's okay--it's a good bike and should make for an interesting comparo.

I'm here to help.

636 definitely, because there are so dang many of them to choose from. The fact that young squids owned most of them didn't help the resale either.

Aprilia is a good value only if you enjoy working on bikes, and are willing to accept a much higher likelihood of electrical failure.

I think if you factor in the relative -dare I say- ignorance of the Aprilia RSV, it really says a lot that it's getting as many votes. :cool

But why no RC51?
:twofinger

Are you kidding? We've already discussed all this in the two prior threads. You are kidding, right? You and the Tuono guy?

But the reason is that in the original discussion, there was a nomination for the RC51 but no second for it. I think maybe the RC just lacks the broad appeal and isn't the value the other bikes are. And can you get a nice one for $4500-5000?

I've owned a first-gen Mille, before owning a 2nd-gen R1.

Those that voted for the Mille must have never owned anything else. :twofinger :laughing
