I was really hoping the lady in the forest was some kind of zombie hybrid. Never the less, this thing with animals and people getting randomly sick has me thinking, it all started when Daryl licked his fingers and shook harry potters hand.
 
Something in food/water contaminated is my guess. Dead pig, Daryl eating, water for shower maybe amplified effects from the food?

I think they were hinting towards that with the zombie with the eye's gouged out and then HP bleeding from the eyes :dunno

Aside from the dirt, grime and rotting teeth she was kinda hot.

Anyone else catch the burlap bag wiggling? That must have been her husbands zombie head. Betcha she shows up down the road zombi-ish, Rick didn't shoot or bash her skull in.

Really? The governor was there? Missed that one. I did hear he was going to get his own episodes this season though (second article below.)

In other news apparently in 2015 they are working on a spin off, with no ties to the comic at all.

As for this season sounds like we may hear some complaining about this, but as long as they keep shit interesting (read not season 2) then I am psyched to see it unfold.

Gimple promises more character studies in his first season as show runner, and varied storytelling formats. There will be plenty of gore and the horror conventions that bring in some fans, but there will also be more philosophical examinations into human nature.

"Ultimately they're in an ugly world and how ugly is that going to make them?" Gimple asks. "I will say the theme of this season is are we too far gone, are these characters too far gone, have they gone through too much? Have they endured too much to still be people, to still be able to just be human beings, to experience love, to experience happiness, to be more than animals just surviving?"

Ya I was thinking that as well. Got to go back a couple seasons when Daryle what "seems" to have been bit looking for Sophia.

Dont know, but intersting start as for the hybrid, I was thinking the same thing then it was clear she was a nut case and dumb ass Rick just woop de deee skipped through the woods with her

With regards to the Rats. Those 4 little kids naming them and thinking they are harmless, I think they are in on this and feeding them. I like the little girls little "They are People To" LOL had to laugh at that reminded me of PC correctness

Dang I missed the thing with the rats. Must have been when my roommate was going all mover the house making a bunch of noise :x

Expecting to see the mother pig zombified and chowing down on the piglets next episode. Darryl as a carrier is interesting, too.
 
So much potential so much failure.

The Walking Dead falls into the trap most TV falls into. They need conflict to move the story along. They insert conflict by changing the personality of characters. All of a sudden you have characters doing things they wouldn't have some before.

Ruins the flow.

Additionally they insert new and unnecessary characters. The woman in the woods served no purpose that I can perceive.

I watch it because I will watch any Zombie content produced. But the show is sub par for the resources behind it.
 
TV shows dont have the same liberties as comics in being able to develop their characters because they have a wider range in audience. Comics allow you to suspend disbelief more so when you see a woman go from being a housemom to a gun toting, zombie head hunting maniac its not such a big deal.

I agree, it's kinda lame that this show has moments like where the looney woman came out of nowhere but it's what they gotta do to break the flow of the show.
 
Zombie attack from above, loved it. Because they've been walking on the roof for months so why shouldn't the roof collapse EXACTLY the same time as our heroes are inside the store? :laughing
