FriendsSFPL Big Book Sale

Just a PSA:

The Friends of the San Francisco Public Library annual Big Book Sale is next week Sept. 16 - 20. I haven't been yet, though I've heard of it for years. This time I'm going to become a member and get there a day early to get good picks!

Apparently, everything is $3 or less.

I've been. Absolute shit ton of books. Last day everything is $1.00. At least it was last year.

I haven't been. Thanks for the idea. However at such huge places I wonder how am I going to find what to buy at all...

They've been sorting the donations for months. I suspect it'll be like a big version of any bookstore: Non-Fiction in some "normal" order like Library of Congress or Dewey DS, Fiction prolly grouped by genre then by author. And then special sections, like coffee table books, maps, whatever.

TLDR: Everything will prolly be findable, just like a regular bookstore or library. )
