i want to burn the .mpegs in my computer onto a VCD. Any computer guru's know how??

Take into mind i am completly comuter illiterate. Thanks!!

You can out .mpegs .avi and .mov on a CD-R the same way you do .mp3s. If you are using a program like Adaptec's easy CD creator, you'll want to create a Data CD rather than an audio CD.
Then you can just drag and drop the files you want.

depending on which CD writing software you use, there's usually a function where the option of creating a "VCD" will be availble. just follow the simple steps, and that's it! ;)

[ie] instead of making audio CD, create data CD, then Video CD.

I prefer to use Nero with the SVCD plugin.. I know where to "find" it :)

I use windows media player for the new windows xp.... it has cd burning capabilities.

where do i get these programs with the vcd or data writing capabilities? or how do i know if its already in my computer?

oh yeah, and if its possible id like to do all this for free. Ive heard of this thing called the "Fireburner" that you can get off of "hastalavista.com" but the whole process on how to get it is just way too confusing.....

thanks,
-tyler

Nero is your friend. Burns VCDz with ease...

If you can't "find" it, buy it at Fry's, they have the latest version...

You can DL a free trial version of Nero, I think it still has all the options but expires after 30 days.

Nero is BY FAR the easiest way to burn VCD's though I haven't tried it with really large files yet...

where do i go to get this??

this is where all the colored people go

Back where I grew up, everyone was white. While my skin is white, I was spotting an Afro and was called n...er quite often. If someone's a hater, they will find a reason to hate, however ridiculous it will be won't matter.
