(Antipathy’s Cliffnotes Version: Saturday, February 24th, meet at Café Pergolesi in Santa Cruz at 7pm. From there we will be led as a group to the actual starting point of the ride and allowed to undress indoors. Private party w/ hot tub immediately following the ride!
Yes I am doing this ride after being in Hollister all day at the SBR Newbie Dirt Ride so no excuses about how you’re ‘too tired,’ just open the throttle you farking pussy, no you cannot see pictures or take pictures at this event! Don’t forget to RSVP to the email address shown below!)

So I was feeling nostalgic for the arctic weather of January and realized there was only way to recreate it...

In other words... Naked Ride 2007.

YOU MUST READ THIS

1. This ride is the motorcycle equivalent to a polar bear swim.
(http://www.imagesofcolorado.com/polarbear03.html for those
unfamiliar). That means that, yes, it is supposed to be cold.

2. Naked is nothing but helmet, boots and gloves.

3. For the safety minded types. If you think you can't handle a low
speed, low mileage cruise around town without stacking, you might want
to rethink your lifestyle.

4. The bikes are staged at a secluded/secure location so people can strip, bag up their clothes, and a quick mount-up and take off can be made. Clothing is transported via a chase vehicle to the final destination.

5. Legality. Technically in Santa Cruz it's ok to be naked as long as
you're not conducting yourself in a 'Lewd' or 'Lascivious' manner, and of course nobody complains. So as long as you're not standing on your gastank and shaking your frozen junk at pedestrians and motorists, there's no fear of the local PD bulk-arresting a bunch of newly suspected sex offenders in helmets.
We've been doing this for years now without any issues.

6. Leghumpers, mouth-breathers and "helpers".
If you can't behave in a civilized manner around naked people. Do not show up.

Additionally, if we don't think you can behave yourself, you will
leave. Our road captain gets paid to tell people 'No', crush their hopes and generally be a stubborn asshole. He’s good at his job.

Don't arrive expecting 'just to help' or block traffic. It's been taken
care of and more than covered.

Okay. Now the fun bits.

Lastly, the past few years, after the ride we've gone to Kiva Hot Tubs, or other spas. It has always been a hassle waiting around so we're just throwing our own party in Santa Cruz with our own hot tub. Afterparty will begin very shortly after the ride, so no more waiting around!

A few of us traditionally get hotel rooms in town after the ride. PM me if you are interested in staying at the same hotel as we are. The place we usually go to has an underground garage for motorcycles.

MALE TO FEMALE RATIO ON THIS RIDE IS AWESOME, BTW. OH AND I AM A GIRL WHO HAS DONE THIS RIDE BEFORE - IT IS A BLAST, KTHX.

Could you provide more details about the "quick mount-up"? Can I participate in the "quick mount-up" without actually riding?

The ride is the best part. I did this ride two years ago and it was exhilirating. You are so full of adrenaline and laughing so hard during the entire ride (don't worry; it's brief) that you don't even NOTICE the cold.

Nobody is coming out to show off their hardbodies or anything. We do it because it is crazy and fun and unique.

Awesome, John. I'm looking forward to it! There is a member of our club who has a YSR-80 but I don't think it is street legal.

Just make sure whatever you ride is reliable. This is the not the ride you want your bike to die halfway through.

This will be my fourth year doing this ride and I can vouch that it's a lot of fun.

Nakedride 2004... IIRC, this was right after the ride, after we all got dressed. It was also the last Nakedride I personally participated in.

I remember that year, about 4 of the ladies were afraid of dropping thier bikes and getting left behind. I volunteered to ride with them near the back, just in case.
Chivalry rules.

Oh and if anyone wants to go dirtbiking in Hollister before the naked ride I'll be there from 10am until I get tired (aprox. 10:35). Ok let's say until 4pm.

I think it would be awesome if we had a sidecar do the naked ride. hint hint

Yeah, it would be too...

But the RGM has a blown exhaust valve guide seal and is fouling it's right cylinder plug in about 5 minutes.

Dude, it's going to be like 40 degrees out. We're all gonna be "Irish".

You know, no one ever answered my question about what part of the by-laws allow Vampires and thier Prospects to ride without their colors...

I have a friend (female) who wants to go, but she doesn't ride. Any chance anybody would be interested in giving her a ride on the back of their bike? She'd probably prefer a cruiser, but I'm sure she's open to anything. If you're interested, send me a PM and we can work out the details.

I'll take her, but only if she wears clothes. Having a strange naked woman clutch me while I'm riding naked may be too...umm, exciting.

Sorry, she wants to be naked. I'd take her myself if my passenger seat wasn't already spoken for by my wife. I can't believe it's so difficult to find somebody to ride around with a naked woman on the back of their bike. BARF is disappointing me.
