Thanks to the Organizers, route planners Hyperlite and Rocketbunny for putting together a great adventure. It surely will be a memorable ride for some time.

A concensus and planning the ride done on Sport Touring forum on BARF.

In hind sight the entire package has potential of being a great ride for large number of riders. I hope the relatively small number who showed doesn't discourage planning future camping trips of this type. It was perfectly taylored for many riders. Hyperlite and Rocketbunny are experienced ride planners for such large group rides.

My take of the overall plan as it turned out. Take liesurely ride south using secondary roads (Hwy 25). Enjoy the scenery at moderate pace. Stops for stretching, gas and lunch, with some sightseeing.

Meeting at SnellBux in San Jose. Got there 30 minutes early. Lefty was waiting was heading in for some coffee. I waited outside with the bikes. Looking at the tie downs, checking the bike over once more. I spot a shinny nail head in middle of the rear tire. Went inside saying to Lefty I gotta get this fixed before we leave. Rode bike over to nearby gas station. Lefty parked in high visible spot to get attention of others when they arrived.
Got the tire patched, took some time waiting at a Auto parts store to buy a straight edge razor. Put us behind schedual an hour. One thing that patch lasted all the way there and back and is still holding :D

Uvas rode heading south. Heh it's safe to wipe the camera out at these speeds :D

RocketBunny is sweeping. I'm taking picture using right hand. Everytime take a picture the bike drops speed quickly no hand on throttle. Rocketbunny gotta be wondering WTH :D
Lake off of Uvas rd.

There's a trick in keeping those tubless tire plugs in place. After their in place, put a little dust on the patch to nullify the sticky patch. It prevents the patch from sticking to road and pulling itself out. On road to Gilroy, saw some nice dusty parts on the shoulder of road. So I go off the road and get dusted up. RocketBunny is sweeping again. Heh WTF is going on :D This must of been last straw, cause I was last rider for rest of the day :D

Rolling hills within a wide valley. Grape vineyards are just getting those little leaves.

Starting over a ridge, RocketBunny ahead. Trees and brush are greener then green, beautiful.

Lefty sure attracts Dogs, Everywhere we went, some Dog was after him (In a nice way :) )
OK Lefty had coffee at Starbux and Gatorade Chinnamon twist at the safeway. But where did that Chicken come ? a treat for the dog.

At this point camera ran out of memory. The other card too hard to reach at this time.
Ride continued into San Miguel where a Spanish Misson is located. Looked for it didn't see it tho.
Filled up with Gas backtracked sort distance to head for Parkfield.
Parkfield a very earthquake active region along the fault. Instruments have the town wired for a massive research project. There's much on web about Parkfield. We spent few hours there for lunch and extended rest.

A bridge south of the town crossed over a creek. The fault is under the creek. The bridge is being twisted by forces on the fault line. It's even more bent now then when picture was taken.

The camp, was quiet and relaxing. Got good rest night before. Hyperlite and RocketBunny tent was perfect for bike camping. Even at night during setting up camp, wasn't too difficult.
Night before RocketBunny went grociery shopping, got some eats for midnight snack and breakfast. I got one gallon of chocolate milk and prengles :D
