OK, OK, so we all know that there is a lovely Saturday trackday at Thunderhill on 11/20. If you're not already signed up, well, you missed out since it's sold out.

It's less well known little sister, the trackday on Friday 11/19 still has plenty of room!

Right now it's less than 1/3 full, which means that if things stay the way they are now you're going to be out there riding with, well, yourself. You might see another person once or twice!

It's a full-on BARF sponsored Zoom Zoom track day, which means all the usual stuff: breakfast munchies, lunch, water, gatorade, AND INSTRUCTION all included.

We run a real instructional program for track novices in the C group, so if you've been debating whether you want to start riding at the track this is the time to take the plunge (fewer people, more instructors). You can also get instruction in the A and B groups from the fastest, most experienced and friendliest racers on the west coast! Instruction is included in your entry fee!

Use the discount code 'barf' at our online reservation system to get the $165 price!

how come bubba aint going :confused

this is gonna be a last minute decison for me... all hinges on how the weather is looking then...

I am in for the 20th, C-. How much of the bike has to be safety wired? Coolant is not a problem, oil cooled Bandit. Lights and mirrors are easy to take off or unplug, and tape.
What else

I don't think you have to safty wire anything, check thier web site

I missed the supermoto rain practice a week ago, and I'm still itchin for some rain riding. So, as long as it's dry one of the two days, I could care less. Besides, I could bring the KTM with me and rock and roll.

Check the webiste at http://zoomzoomtrackdays.com/cgi-bin/zoomzoom/info.html

Here's from the website (short version is no safety wiring is required):

Motorcycle Requirements

All motorcycles must go through some level of preparation for track riding. These preparations generally fall into three categories:

1. Make your bike less distracting for other riders (by disabling lights, mirrors, etc). If you've ever ridden around a track behind a bike with a functional brake light you'll know why we do this!
2. Prepare your bike for higher speeds than generally possible on the street
3. Make your bike safer in the unlikely event you crash

You and your bike will need to meet the requirements listed below. All bikes and rider equipment are required to pass a technical inspection before being allowed onto the track. If for any reason you fail the technical inspection the first time you may work on your bike to remedy the problem and ask for another inspection when you're ready later in the day. While we make every effort to be reasonable, we will not allow an unsafe bike or unprotected rider onto the track, nor will we refund your booking fees if you can't pass inspection. In short, it is up to you to make you and your bike safe.

These are the minimal preparations required:

* Mirrors taped or (preferably) removed
* All glass and plastic lenses taped or removed
* Headlight, tail light and turn signals thoroughly taped, unplugged or fuses removed (i.e. they must not work or else not be visible at all, even when brakes are activated)
* Tires must be in good condition with plenty of tread (where applicable)
* Only DOT pavement or roadracing tires
* All valve stems MUST have caps (preferably metal with integral rubber grommet)
* Wheel weights taped
* Fully operational front AND rear brakes
* Functional engine kill switch on handlebar
* License plate taped or removed
* No glycol-based coolants. Replace coolant with plain water or water with Water Wetter. Most of us live in California: there is no need for anti-freeze here and Water Wetter has better heat-transfer properties (i.e. your bike runs cooler). You can get Water Wetter at almost any motorcycle supply store (Cycle Gear, Road Rider, Zoom Cycles, etc).

I'll amazingly be there both days. One for me, one for jay.

I'll be there too fiddling with my ZXR :)
Should have my forks by the end of the week. Ordered some funky clip-ons and brake pads.

Apparently I'll actually only be there on friday unless I can pull something amazing off, or Chris is nice enough to shoe me in...

I thought I'd be there on saturday with jay, but instead I'll be there on friday, and since saturday is full, I doubt I'll land a spot.

You gonna be there both days, manu?

Two days, yup. But it depends on the weather and how I feel. Last time at Sears my ankle bothered me so much I had to stop after the 2nd PM session.

I'll bring the ZXR and I may bring the RC and take it for a spin (so that the slicks don't look new anymore :teeth )
