1992 NSR250-SP (300cc ) Project Bike, CA titled
1992 NSR250-SP Project Bike $4k firm. This is the double sided gull-arm swing-arm model, not the single-sided credit card model.
Street titled!!! (special construction) The reg is up to date. Pink in hand.
Current state of the bike:
It's a rolling chassis right now, bottom end installed, top ends removed. The motor is stock and needs a new top end rebuild, but....
I have a 300cc TYGA motor (dry clutch) sitting in my garage and ready to bolt in. This was built by TYGA for me, and has never been installed. Good for a low tune 70HP with lots of torque. Not bad considering the bike weighs around 280 lbs. An uninstalled 300cc kit w/ VHM heads costs over $1700 alone. This is an entire motor ready to go...
Cool stuff:
- Battle rearsets
- JHA pipes
- VHM heads!! (for the 300cc motor)
- 2 tanks w/ no dents
- Manual (Shop & HRC)
- Part number book
- various odds/ends
I was going to bolt on a 954 front end, which is about the right length. I have 954 lower triples, and a modified RC51 upper triple for it. I have 954 calipers, but I don't have 954 forks though.
Needs:
- Bodywork. I stock bits and pieces here and there, but all scratch & dent. I was going to set this one up as a track bike. TYGA makes good stuff... http://tyga-performance.com/site/index.php
- Jetting and tune.
- Chassis/suspension tune.
Pics soon.
No parting out.
My price is fair IMO considering the rareness of the bike, new 300cc motor, CA street title, but also balanced with the work that needs to be done.
I'm the second owner. The bike has approx 10k miles on it, but I need to double check that figure when I get home.
Pics soon...
