I need a new used truck. Under 100k miles, in good condition, with 4x4, crew cab and at least f-150 size.

Prices seem to be ridiculous. I arranged to buy a 2015 f150 with the 2.7 V6 with a lady (it has 95k miles) for 17k but a bunch of people called her after and someone offered 19.

20k for a pickup truck with 100k miles that's going to be a decade old soon seems ridiculous. I see used car prices have come down but pickup prices are still insane.

How far are you willing to travel? Much better deals can be had out of state.

What's your price point and specs needed Victor? I'll check auction prices...

My preference is 2015+ Ford F-150 2.7L V6 w/ 4x4 and sunroof and under 100k miles. Lowest I could find in California so far is around 23-24k.

I hope not, I intend to sell mine soon. :D

I got offers of 15k for my beat to shit F250 96 Diesel 2wd with nearly 400k miles on it

Pre-07 diesels will fetch damn good money

As they should :)
I have 07 LBZ parked in garage, don't even need it and only drive it once every couple months to turn wheels and charge battery. Thing is worth some money but no point in selling it.

Right except Chevy had both models in 07. I have classic which is old one, no def or any of that pollution crap.
Still here in NV it goes on dyno to pass smog, not just visual.

Thought that was 2010, but that may just be commercial vehicles.

I'm seeing 19-20K for an XLT and 23-25 for a Lariat. I will say this: I have 6 newer Fords in the fleet, 5; 6-7 year old Fords in the fleet and another 3 way older Fords. The rest are GM and Mopar trucks. The older Fords are good and have given good service. The 6-7 year stuff is crap. @ 100K the interior on supervisor SUV's is trashed as are the trucks. I've got a 2021 F350 Lariat Diesel with 75K miles and already we've done injectors (warranty) and the transmission's blowing up as I type this. Not much Towing either. I'm selling that unit for a Ram 3500 Diesel. Our Ram's have been pretty bullet proof, minus a few issues with out 2014 Rams that have an engine rocker coating issue. The 1500's have been excellent as have all the other Rams. I have 8 of those. My 2019 Big Horn Diesel has 80K and has had no issues. Tows a 55' loaded trailer every time she's out. The GM product has been good as well.

My guys talked me into the newer Ford trucks on the east coast with the logic that the aluminum beds won't rust as fast as the steel ones. I'm hopeful there, but not on the product quality. It's horrible. My two explorers are falling apart interior in most capacities. Coating's flaking, door panels separating, and rattles in all the higher miles trucks/ SUV's. I'll never buy another one.

Ram 1500 Laramies with 100K run about $20K. That's w/ the Hemi. I've had several and have one currently in the fleet with almost 200K. It's interior has some wear, but is well better than the Fords and on par with the GM product. These are work trucks mind you that are treated as such. Overall, our operational costs on the Rams is the lowest, but I wouldn't buy any of them built in 2013/ 2014. The 200K truck is a 2010 and ther 160K truck is a 2016.

Just some experience(s) I've had/ am having with Ford/ GM/ Mopar.

Yeah you're thinking of commercial units. Factory DPFs were around starting in 2006-2007 for new trucks but the feds had it set as mandatory for all beginning in 2010.

Toyota p/u prices have been that way forever. Used Toyota p/u's seem to never lose value. In 2004, when I was shopping for a p/u, I looked at new Toyota's, then I looked at used. The used prices were insane. I ended up buying a new Nissan Frontier V6 Desert Runner for far cheaper ($14K OTD) than any new or used Toyota.

I sold my pickup last month and am testing the waters to see if I can live without one and just an SUV.

I now need to get a trailer to move furniture and a snowmobile. I have a hitch hauler for the Motos. Also have to make a.hich hauler for the snowblower to do the various properties this winter
Grrrr, I didn't think this through well.

Hopefully truck prices are down by spring lol.

I miss the good old days when you could pick up a solid truck for under $20K, brand new off the lot.

Tacoma owners are a cult. I said what I said.

Watch out, Taco owners will come in here toting the virtue of how amazing drum brakes are. :rolleyes

I use my truck bed all the time and the utility of a truck bed is incomparable to a trailer. Drives so much better, can go faster on the freeway, faster to load, etc. I used to own a SUV/trailer but I really don't want to go down that route again.

Not really seeing how prices will come down with rolling criteria when vehicles are always getting more expensive. If the criteria were fixed, then yes, they will come down.
