If you were to go buy your next bike today or tomorrow, what would it be?

Mine would be the F450GS. Alas, it won't happen tomorrow. Hopefully they release it soon!

I am thinking about something with a lower seat. Getting hard to get my leg over the seat on the S1000XR even with the low suspension. Never owned a HD or a cruiser. The XR is just works and is so fun to ride. Will see how I feel after my second TKR in May.

I have a KTM 990R in sight as long as KTM survives. I need something more twisty friendly than my Duc.

In process of selling others. Sort of. :laughing

KTM will survive. Looks like the 1390 Superduke R might be your ticket unless you want a superbike.

I have a multi Pikes Peak. I don’t want another 500+lb bike. I want a canyon carver. 790 / 890 are there but the 990 adds a little more weight but the HP I love.

I might buy a Triumph Speed Twin 400 for my partner at some point in the next year if she wants one. It would be her first bike. Otherwise my next moto is probably another Ducati Multi Strada when I decide to replace the one I have.

I have had the 12’, ‘15 and now the ‘22 PP all great bikes. I have enjoyed every one and no plan to sell the PP. Best rally traveler ever.

Another Moto Guzzi. I do love the Harley Nightster, though. I’m not even afraid to admit I think it’s a fantastic bike for the msrp price.

Lissen' I've got sixty years of moto-lust that I carry around.

Sorting through factory introductions, custom show entrants, friend's farkled rides and memories of ones I used to own makes 'the next bike' more than a simple exercise of desire.

It's a Honda CBR 1100 XX, a Blackbird. No dashboard electronics, old man suspension when set soft, brutal engine and it's prettier than the origami styling of today.

Maybably a throttle body fuel injected KTM300.

I'm going to reduce the stable a bit. And insofar as the excessive number of remaining bikes, Haan cush hub wheels for the EXC500 have just been shipped. A little wider than OEM, sealed for tubeless. So I'm taking that further in the direction of a lightweight ADV. The OEM wheelset, thinking to run studded ice tires and go balls out next winter.

Got a bunch of parts to rework the front end on one of the Harley FXRs.. 19" mag wheel to replace the 21" spoked, bigger caliper, longer fork tubes, upper triple with a steering damper, emulators. That should make my favorite chill ride even better - respectable handling, delightful unapologetically mechanical Evo, perfect all-day cruising ergos.

I feel like I should put my flame suit on for saying this....but I've been doing everything I can to talk myself out of buying a brand new Suzuki V-strom.
I know....the whole gixxerjeff thing.
Fuck man, I'm 63 years old.....perhaps I need to grow up.
But it's a huge shift for me mentally. I'm just not an ADV guy. I'm afraid as soon as I buy that big Strom, I'll begin referring to my local Starbucks only by its GPS coordinates.
And I'll have to grow a gray midlife crisis beard.
I'm also too skinny to wear an Aerostich, so there's that.

On a side note....I'm bringing my 2006 GSXR 1000 back to showroom condition. The body panels and tank are out getting shot a beautiful cobalt blue and gray as we speak.
It's such a sexy bike. I may just stick with it when I'm done. I'm not gonna pull the trigger on the Strom until the liter bike is rockin'.
(There ARE 9 other bikes in the garage next to it, after all)

My next bike? I retired last year so I got the close to my last bikes ever. I got an Indian Sport Chief for blasting around town and a Indian Pursuit for doing some real touring during my retirement. I realize these aren't popular around here and even considered bad choices but I'm deliriously happy and look forward to years of happy motoring. Flame suit on!

I currently ride a farkled-out 15 FZ-07 which is perfect for my commute from Turlock to Modesto and the occasional ride on the weekends. Realistically my next bike will be a xsr900 with a fairing kit. I'd still get decent mileage and I'd want something I can still put saddlebags on when needed. I told myself I can't justify a second bike until this one hits 100k (I'm at like 37k I think) before I pull the trigger:

Now ? I'm thinking about a vintage Yamaha DT 360, something that will do 65, easy, unstressed.
My TW is a bit slow, looking for lighter weight, my Triumph is too heavy to toss around for fun, I have to be careful with it.
