that’s also BARFer Mr @Diter who recently became an Oakland MC member, along with being a long-time SFMC member … fun stuff with the old school shuffle board (the SFMC turned our old shuffle board into our “new” fountain bar-top). my joke is that Mr Boris had orders from the SFMC to lose the shuffle board game to Mr Brent (who is this year’s OMC President). :laughing :angel

Makes me think that if my parents had not moved out of SF there would be no barf because all my efforts would have been going to the SFMC.
 
our Road Captain became a wheel chair pilot on a club ride a few years ago, so we’ve been making an effort to get him rolling on a motorcycle again:

so, the answer is there is a static handlebar set-up for the passenger, it just wasn’t fitted for the test-ride IG post … :ride
 
wrt the recent e-bike training thread, hopefully those youth will become motorcyclists—here’s what the SFUSD and the SFMC (in a small way) are doing to promote responsible youth motorcycling here in our fair city:

my other AMA club has decided to start supporting BRAAP (“Beginning Riders and Aspiring Professionals”) after twenty years of supporting youth flat track racers with the Lodi MC:

“Beginning Riders and Aspiring Professionals (B.R.A.A.P): a no-cost motorcycle mechanics and riding program for San Francisco high school enrolled youth—Est. 2019.”



tl/dr: “In 2019, June Jordan School for Equity — a small high school on the edge of McLaren Park — started offering a motorcycle design, maintenance and operation course. It’s the only school in the country to offer a class that teaches students everything from motorbike anatomy to responsible riding.”

If you’ve ever gone to a MotoGP Sunday, or a regular Thursday night meeting at the SFMC and left a tip in the jar on the fountain, that money went to promote youth motorcycling here in California. (we generally raise $1000 to $1500 bucks every year, that is then donated to a worthy youth motorcycling program.)

We’re excited to be supporting Mr Andre and BRAAP and responsible youth riding in San Francisco, moving forward. :ride

we had our annual Club Fellowship Campout this past weekend with the Pasadena Motorcycle Cub (established in 1907) and the San Jose Dons Motorcycle Club (established in 1932—with roots tracing back to the original San Jose Motorcycle Club founded in 1906):

we ate very well, sprung for the tepid baths in Song Dog provided galvanized troughs, watched the MotoGP sprint race on Saturday morning and the classic western “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly” that evening.

my own pre-gen KLR was treated to dirt roads in Carrizo Plain and Parkfield Grade on the ride home, today … can’t wait ‘til next year’s Fellowship Campout with the PMC and SJ Dons. :ride

if you have an interest in motorcycles check out you local mom-and-pop, family style, AMA motorcycle club. :angel
